Get the Seat brembos (4 pot and 305mm discs) Badger5 as Henry said is the best place to get them from, around £400-500 for everything I think.
  2. yeah yeah..blah blah...20vt is what you need my man.. :D :D so how much have you spent on a 20vt conversion mate :? , for a guy who cant do the work himself or has no time or space doing such conversion would cost into 4k+ by a proffesional garage, then you have to spend money on big turbo, injectors, boost controller chip ect ec to get things moving................ whereas tuning a g60 either with a turbo or keeping the charger would work much much cheaper, maybe not the same max power in the end but a respectable number for a fwd car which wont break your bank either. yeah, your totally right, I was just taking the mickey out of Alex... (But the conversion itself including the engine was about £1200-1500,which is't too bad, admitably I did the work my self but still its not too much relatively speaking. The expensive bit was buying the bits for getting the BHP output up a little: EMS, engine mounts, turbo, piping, clutch etc)
  3. yeah yeah..blah blah...20vt is what you need my man.. :D :D
  4. Would be nice but no, just hasn't been painted yet on the outside....going to the body shop on the 13th. Ben
  5. 20v turbo, NO! I've been a bit slack, been installing the new interior, but I will be trying again on Monday/Tuesday...
  6. looks good, doing something similar myself..
  7. Funny guy! (and yes, there is a trailor handy just in case...) Got your wheels fitted yet??
  8. With 5 weeks left before inters here is a sneek picy of my project.... and yes that is the current state of the car...lots to do before the show    (They are genuine Audi RS4 wheels, 18x8.5, 5x112pcd)
  9. If you need any advice or help let me know (PM me), I've converted my corrado to 4wd using the rallye floorpan, but there is another way of doing it...haven't got time to explain now..
  10. I have an old 16v one, if thats the one you mean?
  11. Yeah mine will be £650 but I'm not bothered as it brought the quote down alot! As far as I know you can't insure your car for TPFT with a value over £5k.
  12. Thank god for Brentacre......still not perfect, but fcuk it, they got me a quote with a 1 in front of it rather than a 2...FC aswell. 8)
  13. Thanks all, looks like I might have to go TPFT although I don't feel happy about it after spending all that time and money.. Also might have to put it on a limited milage and then buy 2 clocks and keep swapping... LOL hahaha love the last bit, but you have a point about tpft. I have never been insured on any of my cars up to this point for fully comp cover, but I feel with all the time, effort and money gone into the project it would be a sad day if I stacked it without fully comp insurance.. cheers Ben
  14. yeah I know, losers! Getting it sorted at the moment, but the providers server was hit bad and I can't upload new pages at the moment. cheers for you advice btw concerning the bloody insurance.
  15. What a joke! These are my basic details: 22 years old 2 YNCB No crashes or claims 3 points (SP30) Live in prob the cheapest place in the country (middle of Norfolk) Declared all mods (see http://www.dubland.co.uk for the mods in detail) Value of 12k 12,000 miles to drive a year Anyway rang up a couple of companies last year or so to get a rough indication as to what it might cost to insure a 20v syncro with all the mods. I was quoted in the region of £1100 to £1300 fully comp, which I was happy with under the circumstances. Meanwhile I decided to undertake the crazy mods... So I rang up Adrian Flux and HIC today as I'm getting near to insuring it, they quoted me £2300 and £2500 respectively for fully comp..! I was about to throw the phone across the room, but then realised I needed to save as much money as possible. I've spent all this time and money and its not as though I didn't check the insurance before hand. The HIC guy said that it is a bad time at the moment, but Jesus it can't be £1200 different from my other quote a year previously. So come on guys please lend a hand and give me some ideas as to how to get a proper quote!   It might not be able to make an appearance at Gti International this year if I can't sort something out...
  16. yeah there is a ferarri dealer down the end of the road. We always have them passing our house. These boys arrived very quickely indeed, picked the car up and left within 10 mins... I always have a go at racing them off the lights in my Golf mk3 Tdi...guess who wins :D
  17. Think its run by bill brock...something (not sure about his surname) Got some nice parts for all VAG cars...including chips, brake kits etc Have a look http://www.badger5.demon.co.uk/
  18. Check this out boys and girls.. A ferarri just blew its engine out side my uni house as I was trying to work, so I popped outside with the camera!! The explotion shattered the back windscreen which took part of the tailgate with it!!! Oil and fuel all over the road. Thank god I drive a realiable VW...hehe
  19. I'm hoping for about 160-165 top speed in my 20v T but not much point as you can't use it in this country (maybe occasionally.... 8) )
  20. OSV, How much did the new VAG top mounts cost you?? I need to replace mine..
  21. phat vr6, WOW  NICE!!!!! Here is mine as off 2 weekends ago... (its the best I have from the front, there is 1/2 an engine bay in there....)
  22. i think so otherwise the ECU wouldn't work at all... If its injecting fuel etc the ecu must be working... :?:
