    Loss of faith

had my vr since nov 2003 & it just gets better & better... really smooth & relaxing drive but has plenty of power when i need & running over 30mpg Its not like i dont drive it, done about 15k since i got it i think any car as old as the rado will have its problems, mine had one previous owner with all vw stamped history & receipts But then again I know people who have new cars that have issues which would p**s me of even more after forking out all that money
  3. Like kevhaywire says internal amps mean nothing... Get an Amplifier or 2, Components and a 10inch Sub (i got JBL GT0 400w rms) then you will have a good setup
  4. I got this unit in mine Panasonic CQHX2083N Black surround & Face design blends into dashboard neatly Spec is good too MP3/WMA/CDRW player, 4x60w with 3 pre outs, seperate sub system control with lots of features & loads more

  7. This is on corrado club website ------------------------------------------- MFA Checksums Did you know that the MFA (Multi Function Analyser\Indicator) or computer give out even more information than it seems. By using the following method you can get all sorts of extra information from those four little numbers in the middle of the dashboard. To engage the extra readings, put the key in the ignition and press down the MFA button on the stalk (you'll need two hands for this one). Now turn the key to position II, back to OFF, then back to position II. The readings will now be completely different to what they were. The tables below give details of what you should find in the two positions of the MFA. Please note these details are only for Corrados produced from 1988 to 1992. Cars manufactured after 1992 (93 models) will only show the Fuel Consumption, Outside Air Temperature and oil temperature. MFA switch, Position 1 1 . Engine Map Code 2 . Country Code 3 . Speedo Drive Ratio 4 . Upper RPM Limiter 5 . Lower RPM Limiter 6 . Deceleration fuel shutoff pressure 7 . Segment Test MFA switch, Position 2 1 . Test sum of programmed bytes 2 . Intake manifold vacuum/pressure 3 . Engine RPM 4 . Momentary fuel consumption 5 . Signal from Speed sensor 6 . Oil temperature 7 . Ambient temperature

yeah black is hot but if you can stand it for the 2 weeks of hot weather we get a year then shouldnt be a problem, i say in a car no matter the colour or interior on a hot day your going to feel the heat only ac can sort that.
  10. top motor mate - clean & tidy - what brakes you running? another coventry owner but like jimsg60 says not seen you around these sides will look out for you
  11. Thats not bad mate, im at 394miles now with about 2gallons to go Like Supercharged says its how you drive it But i reckon in the Vr6 you can chill most of the time as you dont have to work it hard but when you need the power theres plenty there

  13. VR6 103500miles on clock this week run from coventry to stansted was getting 36mpg straight runs at 75-80mph get about 27-30 around town mfa definitly ok as im pulling over 400miles out of a full tank 60litres always now :)
  14. I had the ABF before the C - VW restricted the output (close to 170bhp) so they could sell the vr6 as most buyers would have bought the cheaper more economical 16v but an AmD remap sorts that which i had on mine - although you have rev it hard to hit peak power - i ran it to 160000miles really reliable engine & gearbox then sold the car in parts
