  1. Cheers for that, will have a little think about this one, got a bit of time before the engine goes anywhere near the car thankfully! The plan is to have the engine fully built up, loom, pipes, everything ready but off the car completely as i still need to do some deleting off the loom i think. So should be able to see what is needed or needs blanking off etc...any knowledge like that send this way though please! [emoji2]
  2. Chris (both of you) get your monster's applied! Would put mine in but presume they want one that has a front end and works :bonk:
  3. We are going to try and use the r32 cooler as it is a much better setup than the vr's, going to get the gearbox on soon and see how it all fits up...hopefully not too much tinkering involved...which cooler did you end up using?
  4. Managed to get the other wing ready for paint today, noticed a couple of little bits here and there that need a spot of filler but otherwise happy with them. Made a start on the engine too, started taking off the parts i dont need and finally cleaned up that rocker cover and gave it a lick of paint
  5. Well thats one wing done with the build primer and about ready to paint, as soon as my garage clears of the fumes (and i come down off them too) ill have a go at the other side too...
  6. OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG met a great chap today called Pat who let me have a quick spin around the block in his r32 Corrado! What an animal that thing is, really cant wait to get mine on the road now!
  7. Yeah, I seem to have a problem with doing normal or straight forward things... The Loom that ive got back looks awesome, Its all properly wrapped up for me, hes even added extra length in certain places to help with where I am going to be running. Also built into the main loom the Pedal loom for me which I didnt have. Very impressed! what are finger nails? :bonk:
  8. Getting there slowly, starting to look more like i want it to be looking at least..
  9. Cheers for the advice guys, just done a little more sanding and about to apply the final (hopefully) layer of filler, will add pictures soon. The Loom was just too much for me to be honest, after reading through your threads and a spot of the old googling, I thought it best to seek help! I got hold of him through Facebook in the end, arranged to get the work done and had a quick trip up to meet him and drop all the bits off to him
  10. I kinda thought that too...not one of the areas needing filling is small or flat...never mind, will see what happens with it, can always grind it back out if its properly horrific! Haha!
  11. Started on the filling now, dont think its too bad for a first timer! Had a trip up to darlington yesterday too to take my loom and ECU up for splicing to Andy Outhwaite (i know, took the easy route instead of doing it myself!). Proper nice guy and is very knowledgable and helpful! Also has some lovely cars at his place. Getting far too excited now, it seems to all be happening! Even got the new engine out ready to start working on it...
  12. perfect! will drop you a message buddy :thumbleft:
  13. Hi guys and gals, One of my bumper clips has snapped off so now the front bumper hangs a little, does any one have some spare clips from a breaker perhaps? Its the round discs, 2 on either side of the front bumper like these... https://www.vwheritage.com/shop/corrado/191807193/bumper-clip-to-secure-to-wing-mk2-golf-corrado/?crumbStartPage=1&crumbStartRow=1 the above say only for the Corrado rear bumper so presume they are not strong enough to support the weight of the front bumper...
  14. ahh fair play, the only place Ive seen the full liner for sale is here, https://www.vwheritage.com/shop/corrado/535867499CSO2/corrado-headlining-for-sunroof-models-beige-genuin/?crumbStartPage=2&crumbStartRow=31 hopefully someone else on here has done similar to what your wanting to achieve...
  15. Wednesday...Finish work 0700 Wednesday and will be cracking on with it! sure I was meant to be getting a tutorial on how to fill! Will try and get those other plates sorted so we can get the rest of the holes welded up too
  16. Hi Rog, When I did mine I sort of cheated... I took the headliner out, gave it a good clean with snow foam then when it had dried out I sprayed it with some fabric spray that I got from Amazon. Took a few coats to get it an even shade of Black but now its on the car you cant tell (did the interior sunroof surround whilst I was at it) just another option to think about...
  17. sounds a good shout to seal it up first! There are a couple of spots on it that I will probably touch up, not planning on a full paint though. Then just a proper clean, polish and wax
  18. Ive got a standard one off my 93 vr K reg if lil fuzzer cant find his one buddy
  19. I rubbed all the foam stuff off so i just had the sticky stuff, then basically sprayed duck oil (similar to gt85 or wd40) all over the sticky, completely soaked it in the stuff, left it to work its magic for a few hours then scraped it off. Just need to give it a final wipe down next time i get 5 mins spare
  20. Managed to crack on with the bonnet this evening before i go to work, managed to get the sticky stuff off really easily in the end! Looks so much better just to not have sticky stuff on it!
  21. Welcome along... Looks like you've got yourself a good clean example..(and in the best colour :thumbleft:)
  22. Hi Jamie, I have one for sale, matches the part number. its at £80 posted to UK
  23. make sure you bring your swimming trunks as York is pretty much submerged! North Yorkshire has some lovely villages minutes from main towns/cities. Im in Harrogate which is pricey but 20 mins from Leeds and York. Some really nice little villages literally minutes away from here too...
