  1. Repaired window regs and secured both sides so can't fail again. Literally no alternative option. Fully greased and tested, now just waiting for new bobbins so I can mount them. Not much else achieved except 2 door handles fitted and 1 wing mirror. Should have tailgate mounted tomorrow and want to do full interior electrical check before I start fitting the stand alone engine management system.
  2. The coloured plastic angled piece is broken which holds the outer cable in place. Motor etc is fine.
  3. Yes it is only the manual ones I have found aswell. I was going to remove the plastic bits, get them scanned and 3D printed but you cant even take it apart without cutting the cable.
  4. Spent 6 hours on the corrado today, most I've spent on it in over 2 years. Just seem to run into problems though. Stripped down old doors to find window regulators broken, hours searching the internet and nothing available. Even contacted heritage VW parts Germany. Guess I will have to repair. I am also scrapping the ODB2 route and going stand alone management with full custom engine wiring loom. This means it will be future proof in case I go mad in a few years and swap the engine for a R32 and turbo it. Should have doors built up tomorrow, tailgate on, spoiler fitted and wiring loom started. I was planning to attack the Corrado during the whole of December but loads of work has only meant starting back on it today. Plus I have another project which is just as big as this.
  5. That is not my Corrado, that is a customers VR6 which I look after.
  6. Yes still with me, hasn't been touched in over 2 years but need to get it done.
  7. Well its been 18 months since I touched the Corrado, that's all about to change though. A little bit of motivation has seen me order a few new items which stopped my progress 18 months ago. I will let you know what they are as soon as they appear on my desk! Really eager and keen to get this complete by spring.
  8. I have a new Milltek cat back system available. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Looks nice. Is supercharger stock with stock pulley? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Had a right result today, found Schrick inlet has already been adapted for OBD2 throttle body. Don't know if they are all like this, but made my day. So did a R36 Passat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Lol, I would never be able to do this without my business which includes garage space and tools. Only negative is I don't really have any spare time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Not much done really. Converting to OBD2 as well as making the wiring a lot more presentable which also includes a full wiring tuck and removing round electrical connectors on side of head. Hopefully only 2 connectors and all wiring for engine disconnected. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Nice. Should go very quickly mate. Could you email me over the instructions as I have one which I haven't fitted yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Good luck with the sale. I would be interested in a few bits (supercharger) if you did break it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. So got this done tonight. Engine and gearbox in. Now comes the wiring. Firstly convert to OBD2. Started some this evening, actually very easy so far but for some reason my OBD2 loom has 3 knock sensor wires but only 2 are wired up. It's all being chopped apart so could easily go completely wrong as wont be able to test until it's all tucked. Plan is to run wiring through chassis legs from inside the car. Never done it before so it's all new to me. Made plenty of wiring looms and converted plenty of cars but never run it through the chassis legs. Going to put multi pin connectors on the wiring where it comes out of the legs except anything which is near the chassis legs e.g. Headlights. Let the pain and nightmares begin. 16. Bloody Corrado wiring. Decided to convert to OBD2 and possibly tuck the wiring, had enough of the mess in the engine bay, can't believe they make it loop around the strut and then all the way across to the other side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. On the way home from work on Tuesday night about 10.30pm and pulled up along side a Mulberry Corrado N reg with a young women driving. Lights went green and she floored it away from the lights. Took me by surprise so at the next set of lights I thought we might be on for a race but she backed out. Corrado sounded lovely and looked very nice as well. Don't know if she is on the forum but thought I would see. Also spoke to a VR6 owner at a petrol station this morning, his one was blue with only 90K on the clock. Wasn't a member though so told him to join. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. All new rear brakes fitted today along with new bearings, stub axle, ABS sensors and heat shields. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I don't honestly find them that bad but it's not going to be used as a daily and I have fitted Bilstein B16 suspension so I can just adjust it to suit what I'm using it for. I run the Powerflex black bushes and competition suspension on a Ibiza and that's just about OK on the road. I have a friend who had weitec coilovers with Powerflex bushes and that was nasty to drive. He then changed them for H&R coilovers and it's still poor but a lot better then the weitec. 21. Oh I forgot to mention no shoes, only cotton socks with no holes, I will provide you with a fleece onesie, face mask and cotton gloves. [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. What shocks and springs combo was you using? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Wow, thank you all for your great support. I can't wait to get it on the road and take it to a show. I will let you know which show I go to and anyone is more then welcome to jump in for a passenger ride if they want. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Cheers. Yeah the wax was a nightmare. It was one of those jobs which you think wouldn't be that bad but after 8 hours and only 1/4 of the underside done, I was seriously regretting it. I've gone too far into it really, everything now has to be 100%. I couldn't leave the underside how it was with all the work I've put into the bodywork, suspension, subframes and engine, it would of wound me up and looked [emoji90] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Can't believe it's been 1 1/2 months since I updated but not much has happened. Really wanted to get it on the road for July but it's very doubtful. Wavetrac diff has been fitted along with a 3.6 final drive and all new bearings inside the gearbox. Also fitted rand new genuine gear cables with Dave's short shifter. Also managed to clean all wax off of fuel tank, clean inside tank, clean all fuel lines, fit new fuel filter, rear beam, cat back exhaust and rear shocks along with Powerflex bushes.
