    8v Lovin'

cant see the pics as they have been deleted??? but at the end of the day i am not a purist and as far as i can see a corrado is a corrado and should be cherished as such i may get slated by some for saying that but hey ho enjoy your car whatever it may be
  14. had four or five alternators refurbed over the yrs ( different cars ) and have always been spot on obviously using the wrong back street garage bud
  15. ok i have my nugget ( yelllow 16v) and have now "aquired" another corrado (2litre) the big question is should i keep it and restore it or should i break it for parts ( engine for me and the rest to sell) ?? thoughts would help me sway to the right choice here
  16. you can get the alternator refurbed for about £40.00 ( i just got mine done for that recently)
  17. removed the fusebox yesterday to try and get out the melted fuse blade stripped it down and repaired it today i reinstalled it now all i need to do is get a new relay and hopefully the little beast will run again
  18. may have been for james _c2 but not for me :( mine doesnt have the lambda sensor on it so itcant be but i think it may be the fuel pump relay as i have removed the fuse box(to try and get the melted fuse out) and had a cursory look at the relay and its showing signs of shorting so hopefully replacing this will cure my problem hope james has his sorted too :)
  19. right got my raddo at the beginning of the month love the car but now have a serious issue with it not long after i got it it "blew" the fuse for the fuel pump ok replaced the fuse had a goodlook round and cant see a problem with wiring ( half the underside of the dash out to check) i bought myself a workshop manual so i know whats where and all looks ok now running the engine whilst checking a few other bits out i smell burning dash is still out so look at fuses and the fuel pump fuse is melting not bloowing just melting back to the workshop manual and see it should be a 20 amp fuse not the 15 that was in there ( weird it didnt blow) so replaced with a 20 amp start engine to check all is ok before i put all the dash back, all good dash back in, start up again and strong smell again this time with smoke fuse is melting again question is whats making it do it???? all the wiring looks ok! any help would be appreciated ---------- Post added at 1:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:13 PM ---------- have just checked and i cant see a lambda sensor ???? as another post said they shared a live ???
  20. surely if it was earthing out it would just blow the fuse?? i have the same problem on mine and am trying to find out why will try the lambda sensor ( didnt know i had one as mines an 90 16v tho)
