THERE ARE A FEW DENTS ON THE TOP OF NO 3 CYLINDER PIPE WHICH WERE THERE WHEN I BOUGHT IT I ASSUME THE PREVIOUS OWNER DID IT TO HELP FITTING THE TOP NUT IT WAS FITTED ON MY G60 AND IT CLEARS THE STEERING RACK BOOT BUT I BOUGHT A TEZET INSTEAD PRICW £125 INC SHIPPING THIS IS A SCORPION MIDDLE AND REAR BOX THE BOX HAS BEEN WELDED AND COMES WITH ANOTHER PIPE IF REQUIRED £50 SHIPPED THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL LEATHER NARDI STEERING WHEEL I HAD IT FITTED TO MY MK1 GTI AND IT HAS A SMALL SPLINED BOSS WITH IT (NOT A LARGE SPLINE) AND THERE IS A DENT/MARK ON ONE SIDE ALTHOUGH THE LEATHER IS INTACT NOT CUT £60 SHIPPED HERE IS MY OLD G60 STEERING WHEEL THE RIM IS SCUFFED/MARKED BUT VERY USEABLE I REPLACED IT WITH A NOTHELLE ONE £50 SHIPPED some extra pics i hope these help

I took a couple of pics at pod last year and just found them and thought i would add them too mk1 s are sweet too!

I spent the afternoon removing a field from around the filler neck area and then removed and repaired the tank vent valve due to the fact that it was pressurizing and stopped the exhaust knocking!

Evening Stella You should be able to get a switch from one of the breakers on here or ebay fairly easily. As for the leak, is the carpet wet? (might be the heater matrix) Remove the oil cap and see if its all white and gunky also checkthe exhaust smoke see its all white and smokey if so your headgasket might have gone! I would get the system pressure tested it should show where the leaks are and then replace the rad if its leaking put new antifreeze in (probably G12 pink stuff) and another job done :thumbleft:

im surprised by the comments on this thread by a few of you all i can assume is that you never owned one! As for mk1s i think this one fab dug out an old mag for you

I had a mk1 golf progressed to a champagne coloured mk2 scirocco it had a full colour coded bbs kit i fitted lowered suspension ,central locking .centra wheels and i loved it ! it was superseded by my first corrado which was so much better and a natural progression. However the golfs have gone bonkers and so will the sciroccos in fact anything with a vw badge!

Surely you will be running bbs rims to go with the steering wheel? for the matching set. glad you like the headlights (i can see the road now) have you got much left from the breaker?

Took her for a spin this morning with nearly 10 psi of boost at 4000 was doing a 100mph sweet well pleased :thumbleft:

im tempted to try some 16" x 50 series for a little more comfort (must be an old git) but it would then be oversize and throw the speedo out a bit though i think they would also fill the arches better

Heat wrapped and refitted the Tezet today sounds much better (quieter) test drove with the new servo pipe connected much easier stopping the willwood 4 pots nearly chuck you through the screen! sorry boys i bought the manifold on ebay.de from germany it was listed as a second and had a small dent on no 4 pipe which made it alot cheaper and was delivered within a week happy days (did have to sand the manifold down to fit it was very tight on no1 pipe)

i would have thought the inlet manifold it must work on the vacuum caused by the engine?

Evening all fitted the Tezet manifold and took her for a spin but the exhaust sounds really noisy!(powers great) Its got a decat pipe and supposedly a vr6 rear set up, the manifold isnt blowing fitted new gaskets etc Now i wonder if there could be a difference in back pressure between a vr6 and G60 exhaust? I also think the next job is to remove (again) and wrap the exhaust maybe with a titanium wrap any suggestions cheers Dan

Thats Great. Dont underestimate the worth of "good tyres" especially in winter its all there is between you and the road! I think its wonderful that you love your car (i love it too) but not as much as mine however your bodywork looks fantastic compared to mine! Depending on what needs doing my advice would be a small family run bodyshop and NOT a big franchise. I have worked in bodyshops and do know several painters locally but remember its only a frame around a picasso and dont forget you pay for what you get as a rule of thumb if it sounds to good to be true it probably is your welcome if your down this way (its a bit miserable down the beach today though)

Happy Corrado Xmas 2u2 Stella having skim read your 15 pages i :salute: you and think you have a gorgeous car! It must be very frustrating for you and the bloke sounds like a dick but rest assured we will all give our best advice to you on here for as long as you want it. I am on my second rado after several years of bieng lost in the desert and rest assured i think they are one of the best handling cars i have ever driven and compared with all the modern day crap out there it is worth the hassel so lesson learned and chin up and i look forward to meeting up in the future!
