Morning boys who else is up for it? I raised some money last year and am well Up for again this year
  4. just to clarify looks like this I think they are the same :thumbleft: any way here we go
  5. you should have the bull bar combo and be individual! post em up!
  6. I have a g60 one £40 posted?
  7. Certainly looks that way the switches do wear out and break you could bridge a live wire through the connector pins to see if the fan worked then you know for sure (remember to live the earth connected aswell) Dan
  8. glad to hear you've recovered from the lobotomy :bonk: I think you need one as a rado owner. silly question have you checked switch output to the motor with a test light? sounds like new seats then, s/h ones are cheep enough and you can swap the covers easy enough. cheers Dan
  9. I have been thinking about this myself! From what I can understand you should be running mineral oil rather than atf but what colour cap do you have on the reservoir? Is it red or green? Im not sure but I always thought it denoted what you should be using but im sure someone on here will verify that. I have put some stp power steering additive in my vw van and it was fantastic even quietened the pump down on full lock ordered some more for the rado !
  10. Evening guys i have started a post recently ref the best oils to use, I have read the posts in the sticky on here and multiple other forums from the "oil man" who incidentally is very well respected everywhere! Please put me out of my latest obcessional misery and answer me two questions for two different vehicles; 1, My corrado has a Nothelle G60 engine about 260 bhp with charge cooler and oil cooler plus cylinder head temperature gauge (this has a specially ground nothelle cam and the engine was referred several years ago and since been played with at jabba sport It has used Quantum Synta gold 5/40 fully synthetic since from what i can see from the paper work i have etc So silver or gold? 2, i have a oettinger wbx6 type 25 (6 cylinder 3.2ltr flat 6) with hydrallic tappets! I am running castrol magnatex 10/40 semi happily good oil pressure doesnt use any either but i do have a couple of issues the first is the oil temperature got up to 120'+ the other day sitting for hours on the A303 ( i suppose it should be expected (and verified by other owners)fitting a 6 cylinder in to the hole where a 4 cylinder should be )however i feel this is partly due to the stage one on my radiator u/s! but the point is the specified oil should be castrol GTX2 which i believe was 15/40 and the main problem im having is after leaving the van for a couple of days or even moving it in and out of the garage the oil drains from the hydraulic tappets and i then have to do the drive of shame through my home town and for a few miles untill they self bleed at 3000rpm ! i spoke to a triumph stagg owner today and he recommended a 20/50 fully synthetic! from what i can see (Total Quartz seems to be a replacement for the castrol) If the oil was thicker when hot would it stay in the tappets rather than draining out? or 10/50 If the oil were thinner would they bleed quicker? ie 5/40 I would very much appreciate an answer and will then sleep easier at night thanks Dan
  11. Thanks for the quick reply Rob, I don't really know what they should look like as mine were cut off when I got the car! but having said that I could even use the tank end if necessary as that looks like a good join for the fuel rail which is where the problem is the return is not really pressurised. How much would you be after shipped to devon with the relay? cheers Dan (I want to pick my lad up from junior school for its first trip! But not with leaky fuel pipes!!!) ps the karmann badge looks fab
  12. Hi all im getting ready to use her and where the fuel pipes have been cut "flow and return" i cant get them to seal and its leaking and too dangerous to drive until rectified! therefore if you breaking a G60? I can join pipe to pipe but struggling with plastic to rubber what have you got? I also want the metal throttle cable bracket that retains the throttle cable grommet and screws to the throttle body as the wipers are not working properly thought id try a relay before the switch/motor. any help appreciated Dan
  13. Members 14 posts 0 warning points Wheels : nothelle corrado g60 oettinger wbx6 Posted Today, 05:55 PM it seems to be unanimous with the synta silver are you all running standardish g60s? As I have been running a fully synthetic and the nothelle is 260 bhp when properly dialled in and having now found and read the sticky im erring down the synta gold route. Anyone else running Gold? cheers Dan ps is an 06A115561B filter the same as a 056115561G?
  14. here's the latest pic of my baby sporting my bad ass black nothelle rims
  15. Hi peeps Its looks a bit like the previous owner ran my engine with a fully synthetic 5/40 oil! I wonder what your all running? semi ,fully, mineral? 0/40 ,10/40 .20/50? or a multigrade? cheers Dan
  16. Its True, thats how they make the fuel prices cheaper, its causing all sorts of problems its rotting rubber fuel pipes inside out and metal fuel tanks from inside aswell. The government have stipulated 10 percent but are lobbying for 20 percent as standard! Its only the more expensive fuel stations shell, esso that are using detergents to reduce the sludge build up in the fuel system so defo change the fuel filter aswell its a possibility that if you use morrisons fuel all the time! I think its more of a problem for older vehicles with steel fuel tanks, pipes and carbs etc because the rados run plastic tanks/pipes its not such a problem however be warned especially as the government are not likely to publicise it any time soon! good luck bud
  17. Should be cool, Are you aware of the fuel thing going on? ie the fact all the cheep supermarket fuels are being cut with 20 percent biofuel? If you are using cheep fuels without detergents it could be clogging your fuel lines a bit like cholestoril and fat blocking your veins! its well worth chucking in some cleaner anyways! If i can help let me know
  18. Thanks boys ive been deliberating on this for some time and it does seem a bit wrong but they look soooo good in satin black ! satin silver ,satin black its a no brainer  I think the 40 series needs to be replaced with a 45/50 series but im not ditching the yokos as they are nearly new. Now that the summers over and my vans off the road i am thinking about sticking her on the road and fixing the problems one at a time money depending and then save up for the body/paintwork . maybe meet you in Exeter Rob? How you getting on with your running problems?
  19. Decided to go black today love it!
  20. Nice one ! I love those seats that's exactly the ones I want in mine you lucky boy! post em up and if you prefer to go back to the cream leather im your man
  21. you should get a set of nothelles on there :notworthy:
  22. that all looks pretty standard stuff! first off degrease and pressure wash the engine find the leak! if its an aftermarket down pipe that might be your problem im on my second one for the g60 the first one kept catching the steering boot on fire! seatbases are probably due to wear and tear check the cables are releasing properly and the catches for the seat base are locating! I must admit I do all my own work couldn't afford to pay someone and I did my apprenticeship for the local vag shop as for parts there are lots on here, people seem to be breaking them left right and centre which is a terrible shame but good for spares im in South Molton if your want to come out to play. Saw another silver one outside the Honda garage/pat Williams near sainsburys today that 2 silver ones and I saw a blue one with a body kit and a reiger front bumper in tescos getting fuel on the home happy days :shocked!: if were talking vans heres my baby! fuel on the way home
