  1. Here's what I did with mine as I had the same problems. I took a sharp tool and lifted the clip/tab instead of pressing it and pulled the handle off while doing this.........it worked for me.
  2. I've just recently removed one and the removal steps sound about right off top of my head. As for removing a portion of the tunnel hole I'm not sure because the gear shift box was removed from the car first. Yes you have to remove the side to side rod. The whole assembly feels pretty secure without the two extra screws. I did this with a view to modifying and supplying these short shifters.
  3. I'll have a better look over the weekend, thanks anyway. Anyone else?
  4. sounds more like vibration
  5. My 16v lump has just started rattling or vibrating. It starts at about 1100rpm and stops at about 1300rpm and sounds like it's coming from the back of the engine near the top. Could it just be a vibrating heatshield seeing as it's coming from near the exhaust manifold or something more sinister? It seems to come and go even when the engine is up to running temp. Car seems to be running ok. Any ideas? Dave
  6. Quick lock this thread, I wanna got to bed.
  7. I have tried them all. Stick to your Poxies if it makes you happy. Kev, you aint budging on this one
  8. jimsG60, my Lupo's were great for the first few months. Still got my old wipers so I might stick em on with the Lupo arms. Still think whatever blades you have on will tend to stick in the rest position and therefore cause judder.
  9. Someone mentioned changing the linkage to cure judder but Kev has changed his linkage recently but still gets judder.........correct me if wrong..........Kev???
  10. Just don't catch ya leg on the wheel as you look at the lump
  11. The engine movement thru the gears is awesome
  12. keep watchin it over and over 8)
  13. Yeah mine judder too. I've noticed after a few months of the blade sitting on the screen it no longer trails across the screen but the leading edge of the blade is ahead of the arm therefore is pushed over the screen. The condition of the screen surface also has an effect - drier screen = more judder = Steve Macs suggestions ?
  14. jedi-knight83, I've never been happy with my SSK springs but I think you knew that already. Yours were waiting to go on then. I went for the SSK because 'you get what you pay for' :( not so in our case
  15. Green M plate VR in Notts on Derby Road at Priory island this morning @ 7.30...........could do with a wash.
  16. Wish I could get the figures you guys are talking about.....must be something wrong with my valver although it runs ok. steady motorway = 31-32 around town = 22-25
  17. How many door handles from other car manufacturers/models do you know that have to be lubricated to prevent them from breaking? There is clearly a weak point in the handle. I'm not arguing with you, it's just an observation.
  18. You have to remove the pin that holds the broken arm in place. You can leave the large pin in place, i,e the one that goes through the spring.
