  1. I can't recommend anywhere in the North East but what I will say is make sure you choose the right springs and shocks to achieve a decent ride quality. You might end up spending more putting it right. :(
  2. yalan, If you can open your door using the door handle then the part that breaks is still intact. It sounds like the return spring inside is broken.
  3. Go try it. You CAN always come back, it's not like you'll be banned from ever owning another Corrado.
  4. What's it gonna take for someone to stop by the road with a BIG hammer

    ET 42 ok?

My OZ's are 7x16 ET37 and they sat too far in for my liking. I've got 5mm spacers on now.
  6. If anyone doing this conversion needs any fabricated parts just giz a shout. Dave
  7. FYI - I've made a start on these :)
  8. I'd check the bodywork before the mechanics on a C of that age. I bought the second Corrado I saw. Dave
  9. Thanks for that chaps. I've recently read that changing these O rings can give restore lost power on higher mileage cars due to air leaks.
  10. What's the procedure for doing this on a valver? Is it an easy job? Dave
  11. 2.0 on an F plate???? http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/WWW/CA ... 6170960417
  12. It's the first time I've seen you for a good 6 months.
  13. I was thinking of making them for the Passat.
  14. mondy, Might take you up on that. Saw you this morning BTW, about 7.50 meadow lane. Dave
  15. I've heard the Passat door handle internals are slightly different to the Corrado, anyone confirm this or shed a little more light on the subject? I'm particularly interested in the striker arm - the bit that breaks. Thanks Dave
  16. stevemac, what do you get with the top mounts? Are the bearings in there?
  17. I can confirm that there IS a screw behind the speaker grill on the later door cards.
  18. There is also one screw behind the door grab. You'll see it once you remove the door grab.
  19. Neverite, You might want to try deforming the end of the pin after you've tapped it back in. Personally I don't like hitting the steering column area with a hammer. You could using a strong adhesive on the pin before you tap it back in.
  20. I've never taken inner liners out b4 but they are in there for a reason.............you're gonna get water, mud, crap etc high up into the inner wing area, all this = less protection and more corrosion. Sorry can't help with a solution.
  21. daveh, I love it when a plan comes together.
  22. daveh, Welcome to the forum. I had the same problem. There is a steel pin that the adjustment teeth drop into and this had come out of the casting slightly on one side. I managed to tap it back in to the hole and all is perfect now. As for the other positions being ok I'm not sure but if I remember correctly my 'other' positions were ok when I had my problem. Have a look if you haven't already. Dave
