DUDE what are you doing to my corrado. its been a while.! ian
-
you lurve polishing .. :dorky: haha
-
fresh out of the sprayers. so fresh you could lick it. emmm
-
metalic pearl white from bike colours. - kawasaki i think.
-
i think that is correct but also there is little point in using vr6 dics. they are only 288mm. but if you used the whole vr6 hub assemby you could use audi tt 312 dics and i belive calipers.- hopfully someone on here will correct me- i dont own a vr. i used brembo 305mm discs from the seat ibiza range and re drilled the holes on my g60.. blimy this is an old thread
-
cant remember. pos 20mm. or 16mm. pump was an ebay one. but you can get coolent overrun pumps which are perfect. the vr uses one and most modern engine use one. the focus rs pumps pop up every now and again. you want a desent water pump. or you'll get realiabillity issues and unwanted noise.

wheres the handbrake gater gone...
-
the radiator is a charge cooler rad from a celica gt4. designed for the purpose.
-
i had steve from g-werks live map my old corrado . did a good job. understands g60's like no other. and it is worth getting the 65mm over the 68. and if your running a standard head with a 65 you'll get 20psi on redline. should be good for about 230 240 ftlbs and at about 2250 2750 rpm. will give you excellent acceleration. top speed might not be different thou. but who cares for that.
-
yes JD did make a 300hp (?) g60 8v. but it was undriveable. it had a massive cam and a silly pulley. it will never pass an mot never be fuel efficient and very on off power and the charger will need new apex seals on a monthly basis.. not my choice. i'd rather make a 16v g60 or go turbo route either 20vt or old school 16vt. loads of kits from germany and can be very driveable. the g-lader is quite limiting.
-
you wont get 300 out of a g-lader pg. fact. you can JUST get 250 with a massive cam. but you'll loose low end torque, which is what a g60 is all about. forget bhp. aim at getting torque and you'll get a fast g60. i had a dyno proven 231 hp and 235 ftlbs and could get 14.4 sec quarters.

is this on the original intercooler and pipe work?
-
doute it's on the charger...
-
yep. you have boost leak. when the engine is hot things expand. maybe the throttle link is sticking open.?
-
looking nice rob. but i must say g60'd dont like foam filters. they dont stop fine dust which can turn to a paste on the apex seals..
-
you dont mention if you have the black plastic silencer on the charger out let. these are prone to leaking. advice about the chargecooler. get the biggest rad you can fit. a 'decent' pump. and use the washer bottle as the header- this adds 4L to the system with no extra weight and tidies the engine bay a little . i used a celics gt4 chargecooler rad. it just fits in front of the coolant rad and is huge.this will ensure the charge cooler works reliable
