G60 calipers and carriers? not 16v calipers and carriers? -
Im pretty sure I have a blackberry one lying around if that's any help?

I'll throw together an update at the end of this week :) I'm still in two minds about the radiator. I might use the standard 2L 16v rad, as apparently this is enough to cool the 20vt! However I might get the VR6 rad, need to find out where i'm going to place the boost pipes first though. For the intercooler i've bought this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310204072463?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Should do the job nicely! Haha yep! Hello :d

I have a spare distributor with leads etc still connected if needed? removed from my 9a

Will update soon ;)

Yeah mate, looks awesome :) I've just taken all mine off...need to replace the front abs / speed rotor rings and clean oil off of pretty much everything haha.
-
Great work mate! Are those hubs new btw?
-
Hi! Going slowly, but getting there ;) Also Dubshack is now based in south brent, TQ10 9GQ

Picked up yet more bolts today. That should be pretty much every bolt for the subframe, brakes and wishbones replaced. Finished uni early so went up and dropped the subframe off the Corrado. It's literally caked in oil :( Think will get a steam cleaner on it to try and get most of it off! The wiring's a bit everywhere atm, so gonna start sorting that out in the next coming weeks! I also removed the gearbox back off the 20vt today and ordered a SAI blanking plate, so that should be here in a few days! Still need to get a downpipe and ECU...and after a set of 280mm/g60 brakes!

Few updates. Started stripping down the rest of engine bay. Gonna go get the bearings taking out of the hubs this week. Starting to wire brush the hubs back. Will get them all painted whilst the bearings are out. Also bought all new subframe bolts. (along with many others for the car, bloody expensive) Both wishbones were shot so binned them, gonna replace the tie rods and ends, ball joints and drop links whilst i'm there. Also probably gonna re-do all the brake lines.... I've noticed behind one wing towards the front of the car there has been a dodgy repair, so will take the wing off tomorrow and look at that properly. Anyway, plan to get the rest of the bay stripped this week and drop the sub-frame off of the car! Back to uni on monday! Will update soon.

No worries mate, came off of a 1994 2.0l 16v
-
it's the older v-type pulley however after checking the part numbers "LRA00563" and "0120489360" I think it's a 65amp model (doesn't say on the alternator itself) Pictures:

Will check tomorrow when i'm back up there. It's been off the engine since may as that's when I took the engine out. Running before hand! Yeah will do that tomorrow for you mate

I have one dude, need to find out postage costs etc though

So edition38 has been and gone, which means I now have time to make a move on with this! Took the engine back out Started stripping down the engine: Bought a load of new parts for it from VW yesterday, various gaskets, suction pipe etc. Hoping to order the downpipe and intercooler within the month. Also have bought a load of new nuts and bolts for the Corrado itself. I was missing the OBDII port from the loom I got, so cut one out of my mates lupo he is breaking. Just need to find a place for it and extend the wires!: Oh, also got these out of my mates lupo to go in the front ;) Also a few pictures from Edition38: This had me brewing a semi. My mate Phil's polo: (on the left) CJ's MK2 Matt's MK1: [ And thennn my phone died so no more pictures haha. More updates soon!

Looks nice Martin! Quite clean, just check under the battery for any rust! I've also got myself a Corrado now, currently in many pieces doing an engine change however should be ready in the new year :) keeping the Polo though ;)
-
Yeah I've heard really good things about the quality of their welds and such! Oh yeah mate it's a big relief not having to worry about rushing it! Plus love the little polo haha! Not just yet. Once I start tackling it I'll post up what results I find :)
-
Thanks man. I'm going for a "trackslag" downpipe! Apparently very good! And ah awesome thanks for the information. Yeah will most likely get new studs and nuts anyway! Haha hopefully not! Gonna try and replace most things whilst the engine's out so I won't have any issues later down the line :)
-
Awesome! Thanks for the reply mate, just making a list of parts now. Looking at getting a "trackslag" downpipe in the next few weeks!
-
Is it worth upgrading the 2.0l 16v Radiator? Looks a little small that's all! Opinions?

So a little overdue update.....well, I haven't really done much since last time! Been working full time so haven't had the chance! Anyway, ended up buying that gearbox off of Spuey / Joe! Have almost completed the list of what I need to buy and getting an idea of the wiring. After refitting the headlining to the Polo, I got pretty bored and decided to transfer the gearbox mount and slave cylinder over to the new gearbox.... One thing led to another... Kinda got carried away. Think the sump is gonna be the lowest point of the car. Might get a shallow sump or raise the engine up a little bit..will see! Also not sure if the downpipe is going to be a problem or not, quite close to the steering collumn... sure it will be fine though Anyway it's my 21st next month, so will be starting to get a few more parts ordered for the Corrado and can make some progress! Now the engine's in I can mock up where I will splice into the loom and where I'm going to move some things. Hopefully the next update won't take so long!

hmmm I'm not sure, i've heard that it's a direct bolt on fit, however I have also heard these rumours... Will do some research!
