ive got spax and think they are good, had them on my golf also, the ones for the vr6 are specified as being for the vr6 not like koni which use the same for the 8 + 16v,and spax are german tuv approved,so how you can say they havent got a good reputation beats me :? :? :? :?
-
if you value your licence then they are worth it,the one i got knows where all the fixed cameras are, does not detect them btw since when has arse been a bloody swear word????
-
quick tip..to get the nut off your struts use a spark plug socket with a long allen key through the middle of it to hold the shaft from turning, then turn the socket using a spanner :)
-
the costliest is going to be the bent drive shaft, the rear wheel bearing is easy to do and only about £20(??) the handbrake cabe is easy to do,just removing the handbrake covers etc is the most difficult thing, front engine mount is easy, and the cv boot would be done the same time as changing the bent drive shaft
-
btw specs is a system of about 3-4 seperate cameras i think, not just one unit
-
paid £250 for mine(see highly recommended post)it doesnt detect the cameras it just knows the location of all the types of fixed speed camera devices, and it was exact aswell, well impressed
-
thats where my new gps camera locator comes in handy, tells me im entering the specs camera area, came in very handy when i went down to gravesend on monday :D
-
£145 for the add on laser module

yes the switch should slide backwards and forwards for the slide, and you should be able to push it up and pull down for the tilt

it will be worth the wait in the end :D

-
the fronts are easy, but the rears are a bit harder due to the location of the bolt in the rear beam,it took me about 4 hours but that was with stoping a lot to have a lot of cold drinks because i just had to change mine on one of the hottest days of the year
-
whoops that should of been £12 each

-
just bought myself a snooper s6 speed camera locator, absolutely brilliant, cannot fault it what so ever, even tells me how fast im going due to it being gps based, just the anus hole behind that were flashing me to go faster, perhaps i should of stopped and charged them £30 for saving them from getting points on the licenses  ,going to get the add on laser detector very soon
