The vr cv does fit the g60 shaft, a mate of mine has 5 stud on his g60

As some may or may not like it, i kinda like the early front bumper and the way the fogs sit, to me it looks like a bit more of a feature than the late bumper. Has anyone seen a early bumper on a late front?

After searching for a while on the forum i found the intermittent metalic sound from the engine was the tensioner bearing (think theres also a sound clip on here) I have just changed this using the info on knowledge base. Now just started the car and the sound is no where near as obvious as it used to be but its still there if u listen very very carefully, so although the bearing change did quieten it its still not solved it what else could it possibly be?

Trying to take my headlights out and only one of the screws per light has come out, the rest are shagged silly, does anyone got any tips on this issue as from what i know it common.

When i've had my heaters on for maybe 45mins ish the dials start to steam up turn the heaters off and it'll go away in seconds, now my car does not lose water nor are the carpets wet in any way. I still suspected the heater matrix but i saw the last owner who is a VW specialist/trader about a week ago and mentioned it to him he told me that no way it could be that as the car had a new matrix fitted a few months before he sold it to me...................any ideas

Furk'z what tyres are you running on the rears?

I've been speaking to a guy in Germany who is a supplier of turbo kits, no prices yet but he gave me a breakdown of how it works he said its a manual kit so no mapping is required, the kit uses a dual stage fuel pressure regulator for on & off boost, and an external wastegate. He said you need to fit a lambda gauge and the adjustment is done via the regulator for fuel, and on the wastegate for boost for the right mixture, what do u guys think of this type of system.

Are the wishbones on the G60 handed or not?, one side is radiused, can the bushes be fitted any way as one side of the rear bush has a larger face.

I need to source a 16v arb. My local VW breaker has tons of parts and a pile of arb's none of them are marked up so i dont know what it looks like anyone have any pics or can you tell me if there are parts no's or where the part no is located. cheers

24V Renshaw, fancy doing a narrow track 4 stud conversion on my vr?

A mate of mine has gone 4 to 5 stud on his g60, i'm trying to do 5 to 4 on mine. I tell you one thing it aint easy!. On the g60 its case of chaging the rear discs with bearings. Front u need to get 5 stud hubs pressed into the standard hubs but you cant use either vr6 or g60 brakes. the vr carrier does not fit the g60 hub, you have to use 288's. The problem i got is i want to go narrow track for the sake of being able to use wider rims yes you gotta change the wishbones arb etc but more important even the tie rods need changing which is kinda gettin to me robbymac, do you know roughly how much the two tie rod sizes differ??, i wanted to know if i could just chop may be 10mm off the vr tie rod situ on the car and if it'd work

dinkus, yeh but i thought the corrado was based on the golf can the seat height really be that different?

I've only had my FK highsports for 6mths, the car is garaged stored. Went for MOT yesterday and had a look at them they looked like shit. They were very white just looked orrid, i sprayed all the spray that came with the kit but i guess it wasnt good enough for road salt.

Seen quite a few mk3's with recaro seats even seen some 5 door ones that have the tilt forward mechanism :roll: does any one know if these fit a corrado?

On behalf of a friend who recently bought a saph cossie 4x4 intercooler for the g60. Its becoming a bit of a mission as theres is hardly any space for a neat install. What are the other options for a G60, i mean off the shelf stuff which is good and goes straight on are there any off another car that again need little mods to fit.

I need a 5bar oil pressure sender that comes in the audi 80 coupes. Its the two pole type. Cant seem to find it any where its discontinued at the dealers and all motor factor shop say dealer part only.........elp

Hi all, i'm just looking at some door speakers and cam across some of these, any body know anything about them???

My VR engine is begining to show signs of its age and mileage now. I was thinking unless i found a replacement engine with low miles i may swap for a 1.8t. Question is i've seen loads of G60 with this conversion but not seen a vr, now does the 1.8t engine fit either subframes?, if not does that mean that i got to change wishbones and all the rest of the stuff from a g60

Right bought the plug as per the above numbers and firstly its the wrong one!!, the plug i was given has two little locater type notches cut out the one off the car is supposed to have one. With a bit of moddin with a dremel i sorted that but heres the real problem, connected it all up and turn on the ignition and nothing no sound at all!!, checked with my 12v tester and the ignition on there is no current in the red/black wire, took the car for a run and back and checked the wire again with the ignition off still no current.......

Walesy, How did you remove the abs???
