right dunno if everyone else with this prob has this, but when i do about 120-122, it stutters and cuts out till about 120ish and then just hovers about there, not sure what revs that is, tend 2 keep an eye on the road more than rev counter dunno if its fuel related or electrical related, but bloody annoying!!
  3. i didnt have any for 6 months, and when i got them and put them on, it felt SOOO much better, much more rigid and hard at the rear, and i could take more than 2 people without it bottoming out over every little bump!! get them ASAP, as someone advised me!!!

Hey, im with u as well, EXACTLY the smae prob, just with it not firing, then starting on 2-3 cylinders, and till u rev it it doesnt sort its self out, it would just stall, will be very VERY chuffed to get this one sorted cos its been like this for over a year!! can you buy new injectors? how much?
  5. You luck bugger, just got my C back, and i have been running around in a rover 114 AKA METRO, for the last 3 weeks beacuse the clutch went in mine so i had 2 borrow my sis's car, agree with the cornering, and 108 in a metro is some scary sh*t i can tell u! Couldnt get over it cost 19 quid 2 fill it up!! BONUS! But picked my baby up from mr clutch today, so its all good again!.......
  6. Saw me a VR6 storm today, blue i think, from the blackwater traffic lights to yately, didnt realise you where still behind! Was running in my new clutch  first time shes been on the road in 3 weeks! i was in white C with messed up front end :x
  7. Do people still listen 2 MW and LW then?!?!?!
  8. Another random interminint prob in my case i think... hows the easyst way 2 clean injectors? just some cleaner? if so any good advice on what one??
  9. Right update.. not really and update, just calmed down a bit now! basicly the AA man said it sounded like the clutch plates had warped?!? And seemed pretty sure that was the prob! Got one quote 360 quid, but after just getting back of holls, its not gunna happen!! So im gunna attempet it myself, cos i have a spare car for a couple of weeks, ok so its a rover 114  and i look like a right mincer driving it, but im just glad i still have wheels eh! bit of a come down all the same.......... So really just wanna know if there are any handy hints for us out there, things that could be made easyer or 2 watch out for special tools ect, will buy a haynes manual to help with the mission, also noticed that out of all the clutch kits, the one i need is the most expensive! :(
  10. didnt make it home, aa came, clutch plate he said  will update, just wanna set it alight now!!
  11. Yea the clutch feels fine, its just getting it in 2 the gear in the first place, and its weird its all the gears at the same time! never rains but it pours eh!!
  12. OI WATCH YER MOUTH!!! CLUTCH!!!! :-P Is it common for it to slip just like that then? clutch sounds painfull, but think it is ok, would be gradual i would suspect? can i just clunk n smash thro gears till i get home u reckon?
  13. Left my mates earlier, and the gear box seemed it was being a pain, nearly home and just decided it wouldnt go in 2 any gear!! pulled over and pushed the 'puding stirrer' about a bit, and it wa ok, but is still really bad 2 try and get in 2 gear, 3rd is theworse, it seems as tho something is blocking it, not so much the gearbox-i hope! can something brake or slip 2 cause this, it seems weird i pulled up and it was fine, and then just wont have it!! at my mums at the mo and dont really wanna drive home if its not gunna make it!!
  14. OUCH! More expence eh! Hoping it was just gunna be i pipe fallen off somewhere! Any way of checking it before i get another one? corrado that is
  15. It seems when im having a flat out hack, that at 5500ish revs it just kind of mis fires, also noticed it has cut out quite a few times when i red line it in first over the last month or so, any ideas peeps?? :?

    revs die......

do u think that ws the cause? dad seemed 2 think it was normal, had 2 disagree with him, thought it should be clean! why would it arc in the first place?? it was on the 4 contacts the rotor arm passes inside? cheers, just thought it would of been down 2 the ISV! looks like i could be wrong eh!

    revs die......

SORTED!!!! But dunno what i did!!!...... heres what i did, which one do u think it was? 1) sprayed the ISV with loads of WD40 2) cleaned the distribuitor cap with lil wet n dry, contacts where a pitted n black?!?! 3) sprayed the throttle linkage with WD40 beacuse it seemed bit sticky and slow to return?? Cos i done them all at once, im not sure what fixed it!!

    revs die......

 It seems we have developed another fault! Im not sure what it is, so here we go!.. The revs seem 2 die, i think its only when it goes above about 4000 revs and i take my foot off, the revs drop down, and just keep dropping! sometimes it struggles 2 keep going, but just cuts out 99% of the time there seems 2 be a very big flat spot on the throttle for about say a 1/4 of it, not very responsive, and then all of a sudden picks up and flys! i have checked the ISV and it seems fine, tapped it ect, but doesnt seem 2 be a problem related 2 it, when i parked it up on early sunday morning, it was fine, and since then and this morning (when it wasn't used) ITS BROKE! havent got a clue wether it is mechanical or electrical, so anyone who has any idea, please help!!!! :D CHEERS
  22. nope, i've had it now! gunna let my mechanic sort it out, had enough! the allen bolt head has sheared off inside, tried the socket over the top, just slipped off, so just off 2 the garage 2 see how much he wants! :( seems nothing 2 do with the brakes wants 2 budge! shouldnt be 2 much, got all new discs n bearings, all hes got 2 do is take the old ones off and fit the new ones, still want that 1-2-1 . . . . Cheers lads
  23. Cheers fellas, but no joy, just brought one, and guess what...yup it sheared straight off, the allen key bit,  So now anyone have any idea's on how 2 remove a round bolt?!?! i want a 121 with the bloke who put allen bolts on it, alone in a room with a baseball bat! :D would make him see my point soon enough, thing is i need the car tomorrow, and i HAVE to replace the rear bearings n brakes today, and yet again i have 3 wheels on my corrado! an no way of removing round bolts........
  24. as the topic heading says! does any one know the size of the allen key 2 remove the rear caliper's? need 2 go 2 halfords 2 get one, so asap would be much apprechiated guys n girls!
