U dont know how true your words are, im going bloody mad!!! the remover tool wont grip, and it just looks welded in! this is never gunna come out i can tell, gunna have 2 get in the experts i think, as nothing i have done has budged it a fraction of a inch! :mad: :mad: :mad:

cool, will get ma dads blow torch tomorrow, where do i get and whats a multi spline key?!? like a star attachmet? Have given them good soaking with wd40 tonight, will i be able 2 get the new bolts over the counter same day? would GSF do them as i gotta go there tomorow anyway? And what do i do if all this fails?!?!?! got a feeling it might, cos they are proper rusted in! :cry:

Ok been looking about and suggested that if i drill a hole and beat in a allen key this might work? bad idea or not?

Right! rear caliper bolts, no prob! but 2 of the 4 bolts holding the stub axle on, snapped :mad: What the hell do i do! There is about 5-7mm of one sticking out, and 2mm of the other, so now i have a car with 3 wheels and no way of getting it anywhere! can i drill em out or something? gunna put 4 new bolts in 2, there were a weird size! had 2 hammer a 9/16's i think over the top! 15mm slipped off 2 Sorry to keep it in this post kinda going off original subject but easyer than starting a new one! IF THIS WAS ANY OTHER CAR IT WOULD OF BEEN GONE A LONG TIME AGO!!!!!!!

ABF39T a quality buy of mine, had em bout 4 months now, and just want MORE!!!!

As the title says! Got audiobhan 6x9's and the head unit is not doing them justice! They are 215w RMS, i dunno if this is each or between them, most likely between i should think, but the whole RMS and PMPO confuses me! so any one recommend any good amps, not silly prices but good quality all round jobbie, prices ect? the head unit says 4x45w on the front, but think that is proberly PMPO??

yea had that one before, hence me getting ma mechanic to put the wheel bearing on, out came the oxy settiling welder and new ones put back on!so hopefully will be ok to remove. cheers for the help mate, much apprechiated! :D

think the stub axle might be shagged then, the bearing is tight and still has loads of play in it, is it big job 2 replace? cheers for all answers, just matey is comming out to sort it tomorrow!!

Well i hope so, kinda take it for granted that they do things like that! i have pinched them up myself last night, and the wheel still has 10-20mm of play in it, i think the squeaking is more from the brakes rubbing, the caliper moves as well which confuses me a bit, i thought they wernt connetected! also the other side has small amoubt of play in it to, so maybe my mechanic is a tit??

Just had an unexpected early day, not that i actually made it in to work, decided to take it in to the tyre and exhaust place on the way beacuse of strange squeaking sound comming from the left hand side, and what do ya know its the wheel bearing, that i had replaced by my mechanic about 3 months ago. He also commented that the other side was a bit loose, but the left side is mashed it looks like, so limped home and rang the fella who fitted them, and he is gunna come out tomorrow and look at it for me, but there is gunna be this 'whos fault is it' conversation, im kinda thinking its gunna be his as he did fit it, both rear wheel bearings and disc's. But i think he will try and blame it on another part so just like some idears of what 2 say to him so i have some ammo when having it out with him!! co i am not buying and fitting another wheel bearing!! :mad:

fook, now thinking maybe some lovely person could explain how to get it out!!!!!!! No one tells me these things!!! :cry:

had very similar prob on my 16v, 1.8, dunno what u have but it was biach 2 drive, tracked it down to a split in the air pipe directly off the airbox, u pulled away, and split opened up - engine died - split closed, enging fired up again. split opened, fixed mine with good old pvc tape, and stil on there now!

i changed the leads few months ago, and it didnt fix it so gunna rule that out for now! think i will try rotor arm n cap, mine smells kinda funny from the exhaust sometimes to when pull up at lights ect, and i get a wiff of the exhaust fumes!?!?

Nice, thought i was gunna be looking at 50 bucks each!!!!! RESULT!!! Will order some in the next week or so, and report back if/when i fit them, think mine are shot 2 bits, hae a good feeling about this!! Why would the spray pattern ect make such a difference to the performance? surely as long as its making it through, it should be ok?!?! the dizzy cap in mine is quite pitted, the contacts inside for the HT leads, dad says thats prob normal cos of the constant spark being produced, but other than that they look in fairly good nick, and are only year or 2 old! *mod edit - triple post removed... - Henny*

On the engine side it sometimes dosent like to start you need to give a slight little bit of throttle...sometimes it starts fine but the next it just winds and winds. post on problems, cold start ongoing niggle this, and still no answer!!...... was yours standing for a while befor you brought it?

pulled an injector out the other day, an switched on the ignition, and it shot a jet of fuel out for a bit till it kinda built up the presure then it stoped, poss cause?? only tried one of them.......
