Calling all you Yorkshire C owners, just gauging any intrest of a possible Sunday or weekday meet, in the near future. Would be great to get a few of the forum members and their cars in one place. Thinking of the old Post office pub on the M1 juction 38??

Wayne,I ordered it from euro car parts straight to them from Sealy then me. I went down for some coolant and just asked by off the chance, they could get them ordered in. They do all the Sealy tools etc, you can pick up a catalogue in branch.

Hi Wayne, Yeh usually but they have to order it in from Sealy and it's not next day or same day like parts are.

Was planning to do the plugs on a service next month, Sods law, got a problem today with a HT lead arcing over to the engine block, i need one sharpish. Delivery to argos says 5th may. Not taking the lead out with no tool, knowing my luck i'll pull it out of the plug and bust the lead, need one quick.

How come when the next set of politicians get in, will nothing change to make the working man and woman any better off. Why do uni's charge so much money to get educated? Why is my VR being a pain just of late?
-
Cheers Chris, good price that is (even for a tight yorkshire man), and can be collected from Argos, not seen that before.

In my opinion these are worth £20 at the most. Looks like they haven't even been cleaned for the sale.

The fault came and went with barrel locking up Fla, even with the old ignition switch.
-
These will be no good?? as they are not for factory fitted immobiliser https://www.vwheritage.com/shop/corrado/357905855B/ignition-lock-barrel-wtih-keys-t4-09-90-04-98-corrado/?crumbStartPage=1&crumbStartRow=1

Cheers Fla, I have already fitted a VW ignition switch. It's the Barrel thats gone now i think.

Just an update. I have replaced the fuel pump relay, the ECU relay and still have this intermittent problem. I had no problems with starting the car all weekend, but today it decided to not play ball. Whilst pulling my hair out i stumbled on a suspect...The Ignition Barrel, ok this is what i have found: When the car fails to start (but engine turns over) i moved the key about in the Barrel, I gave a tap on the barrel itself and it then primed the pump (read post number 15 from me). I am looking at replacing the Barrel? Anyone done this and where can i get one from? Daft question alert: What is the procedure take my key and a new barrel is matched to my key? I have read on the forum that its ok to use a pattern barrel but always buy genuine VW ignition switches, which i did and fitted a couple of weeks ago.
