Mk2 8v gtis do not have more torque than 16vs Heres a dyno graph of standard 8v and standard 16v
-
Yes they are replacable, remove injector then you need a big allen key to undo the brass inserts
-
I didnt know the blocks were different on the corrado, I assumed it had the tall block fitted, is it the 1.8 taken out to 2.0 for the corrado? Yeah the 2l corrado has a different crank but the block is same dimensions as 1800 kr
-
thought allen bolts where 6mm?
-
The corrado 2l 16v has 136bhp because it has milder inlet cam and cat.The golf mk3 2l 16v is a tall block with different spec cams again. If you want more power, fit an 1800 16v inlet cam(i have 1 forsale  )
-
I want a pillar gauge pod, ebay do 1 for corrado for £25,liking the vent 1 aswell
-
I bought mine from volksbits, its made by jom and is very good quality and fit and came with bonding glue to mount to surrounds. The 1s on uk ebay are the jom 1s and you can get em for £60 delivered approx
-
I dont have any,but my indicators are in my mirrors
-
Makes zorst sound abit raspy but apperantly if you heat wrap em it doesnt. No knocking or vibration
-
ive got tsr 1 and im well happy with it
-
If i can get 162bhp with just a 4branch and different inlet cam then yes they are worth it!
-
If its a prob fittin with 9a it will be with kr,unless the garage is talkin poo poo
-
Thinkin of gettin a 2 gauge pillar pod, anyone got 1 already fitted? would like to see pics if poss?
-
Im using a golf 16v tsr jobbie on mine but thats a 4-1,maybe this is where the problem is?
-
as Gav says, doin a chain isnt too much hastle. You could try pouring a bit of oil in your engine with it running to see if it quitens down
-
Ive always been told to use the mk3 abf 1 aswell.Tsr quote approx £42 for it
-
Top-end rattle could be cam chain? They are only about £10 new.Its quite common for valvers to be a tooth out as the bottom pulley marks are never accurate
-
Thats all bollox the 9a is identical to kr so it WILL fit. The mk3 16v abf engine code is 17mm taller
-
Ive not got uprated mounts and my manifold has been fine for over a year now. Heat wrapping increases performance as the hotter the tube, the quicker the gases escape through it
-
sort of,got a solenoid, just couldnt see best way to mount, and also i have to get my little'n in passenger side
-
Im using the audi 80 1s.Chris aka cheesy had a6 handles about 2years ago
-
Right then, doors cost me nothin as they are from the audi i just took the 2l engine out of,been quoted £25 to weld em in and il fill and spray em! BARGAIN!
-
Thinkin of doin the above and i have a pair of doorsfrom said audi.Is it relativly easy? (remembering i have de-handled my passenger side!) Anyone got pics or info? Thanks in advance
-
go for it,im doin the same. Im sure people will tell you to put a g60 in etc but im goin the cheap route
