I think what you mean by 'muffler' is what we call a 'back box' in this country. The answers yea you can get a Supersprint backbox for your corrado. There is a thread on here somewhere about a guy geting a new supersprint backbox, with pictures. I reckon you have a look round or search for that.
-
You cnt go wrong with a Supersprint system.

What about the water pump? (seems that its the only thing not to be mentioned)

I have a spare set on the way. How much are they worth? or how much do they go for?

Cai Golf G60 (fitted new G ready for bodyshop)
CaiosG60 PWR replied to CaiosG60 PWR's topic in Members Gallery
You been talking to Matt(Dubwiz) then? I have always thought that the floor pan on mine is the same as the Rallye. The 'central tunel' (think thats what its called) is higher than other Golfs. Also the rear spare wheel hole isnt as deep as other golfs, not to sure about this though. The body shells on the rallye and the 2wd g60 golfs are apparently more rigid than others too. Not sure how this is done, bonded windsreeen, slightly different rear end? I reckon PhatVR6 will be able to answer this in a more precise and techniqual way as he's a collector of vw 4wd bits!! 8) 8)  -
and me, and me, and me, and me, I want some too!!! :D :D :D A group buy sounds a great idea. I know Henny knows the guy at Venom and also Ant(bannana man) can get them wholesale I think. Come on boys get us some qoutes?
-
Arrrgh! This is stupid! What other show can I be my big summer show if boycotting Inters? gti festival, vw action?
-
They've been reduced now Henny. Think there closer to £300 now.

I've been for a proper look on the website and there not complete coilovers. There springs and the adjustable bit but no shocks. You can buy kits like this from demon tweaks for making your own coilovers to your own spec. If your after cheap coilovers try supersports from venom motorsport. I hear there pritty good.
-
Good idea this, nice one! When did you get the "2x2" Criss? If I can find my missing vag-com plug I may give you a call if I'm going to be in the merssyside area. Where does the plug run to? (ECU?)
-
Cheers Kev. Good news! Found my spark plug socket. So I've taken the offending plug out and earthed it, there is a spark. So I cleaned it a bit and put it back in. Still the same problem. I then took it back out along with number three and swapped them over. Problem some how solved! Taken it for a spin and everythings fine now. Maybe there was something going on caused by the snow, but a good fiddle around seems to have sorted it.  They didnt look great though, pritty black. I know my old head burnt a lot of oil so thats probably why they havnt lasted very long??
-
After the snow the other day, my car was running really lumpy. Thought it was dampness in the ignition system so I coated it in wd40, no change. When the engine was running, I pulled of each ignition lead and listen for a change in running, then re-attached them. Change in running on all but number two. So I changed the leads around to check if was them. Still number two. It definitely seams to be the spark plug in number two. I don’t have the right tool to get it out at the moment though. I have also checked on the dizzie and rotor arm both look fine and where new 7 months ago. From what I have done, have I eliminated everything else? Bit pissed of as the spark plugs are again only 7 months old. Really skint too. Can you buy the G60 spark plugs individually? (Think there expensive being platinum tipped so I cant afford a full set)
-
I have to admit that I have always been tempted by an FTO. Its the only other car that I search for on autotrader regularly, exept for vw's, porsches, lambos, etc

Here a picture of my car in sunny yorkshire! The qaulity isnt that good as I took the picture with my phone! 8) (not bad for a phone, samsung E700) :D

You B******d!!  Well jealous!! My Golf already has the syncro floor plan but no syncro :( :( Could have done with that for £250. Just would have been a matter of swaping the parts over. well done! 8)

Can't you test the ISV by just unpluging it and seeing how it affects your running? Or the noise it makes? (simple tests, like it  ) Anyone?
-
£125!! And you said the local stealers where b******ds.   Andy you can get a lightend and balance flywheel 8) from Ridgeway racing for £85, exchange though. :(

Exhaust decision finally made ! (Look at this rascal)

I had a janspeed backbox on my Scirocco. It sounded like a squad of challenger tanks, it was so loud!! :x I didnt mind though, I was 17 and had almost bought a Nova SR. So louder the better (embarising!) :? :? -
dubprince when my fuel pump went the car would start, then the idle would drop and it would stall. Also if I touched the throttle pedal it'd stall instantly. When I turned the ignition on I could hear the pump but it made a crapy noise. Also when traveling along the car would cut out then when trying to start it again, it would do the same thing for a while. I think I'm right in saying that it wouldnt do that if it had been the ISV as the engine was warmed up?

Andy dont get that G60 clutch. There is a thread on here somewhere about the VR6 clutch being cheaper, having stronger springs, and being a direct replacement for a G60 clutch! Hope this info isnt to late for you. (Whats that now Andy, two buckled alloys, set-up problems and now this! :( :( These things always come in groups. At least when your out at Daytona you can forget about your C for a week!! :) :) Its still an ace motor. People took more pictures of your engine install than anything else at the rr day. :D  :D  )

Mine fits the bumper apeture precisely too. It came with a chromed rear exhaust mounting that I fitted and messed about with to get it to sit right.  (nice touch) There in my opinion is nothing worse than a tailpipe that is miles away from the rear bumper and swinging around the place. If you check out my link to the gallery you can see how well it fits. :D :D :D Supersprint RULE!!   :!: -
"Helmholtz resonator" is that what the snorkel is really called? 8) I've had mine (snorkel) removed a while now. Just fitted a cold air feed today. Goes from just inside the air box, through the hole for the carbon canister and ataches to my towing eye. Not the best place to take air in, slightly obscured by the bumper, but has to be better than not having one? Will do untill I cut a hole in my spliter. Havnt been for a spin yet so dont know how the cold air feed has affected it.

Here's my favourite 8v G60 engine. Its what I would like mine to look like minus the charge cooler. Big font mount all the way!  (Its MJ interiors old Golf G60 I think)
