    Push Button Starter

easy to do and only cost a couple of quid did a mates corrado i don't see the point as you need to still need to turn the key then press the button. I suppose if your ignition switch is dead then its worth a go.
  5. def agree with that flusted
  6. three earth brown wires that bolt to the same place as the head to coil strap , try give them a clean with some wire wool and bolt them back down

    Cams

i've just done this mod a couple of weeks back and you do notice the power difference (mine is a 1.8 kr) before the car shot through the lower revs with not much pull now the pull comes in from 2000 revs and the car doesn't need to be taken to the redline to get shifting. i did it as the text you posted states got the info from the guy who wrote that add, no need to remove the chainwheel aslong as you time it correctly when you drop it in, you can work out the new timing mark from the existing one.
  8. will check tonight mate think one side goes under the inlet rubber that is attached to the throttle body.

    WUR mod 1.8 16v

if its mk2 golf they have the same engine as the 1.8 16v corrado but a lighter flywheel and the mk3 16v 2.0 has 150bhp. mk2 golf is short block mk3 golf tall block abf... i think
  11. i don't think they are removable, i drlled the hole bigger and fitted a larger bulb , i'll check the size when i get home
  12. looks right to me, done these before you need to be careful when putting the injectors back in as they will be tight fit with the new seals and you don't want to push them in too much and break the new inserts.
  13. as corrado wales said you are trying to put an early 16v badge on a late grille from the sounds of it
  14. i've seen 195/45/16's used on a 9*16 rim before, have used 205/40/16 on the same rims for years and never had a problem
  15. thanks looks like i've ordered the wrong paint for my aqua blue corrado.
  16. After changing the front mount on my valver the car still seems to have some movement on take off, checked the wishbone bushes etc but can't spot anything so drove the car foward with the engoine open and noticed the engine drops back a fair bit. So after taking of the inlet manifold i can see that there is an arm that bolts to the rear of the block onto the rear engine mount and three bolts that bolt from the top of the enine mount to the engine mount bracket, but what holds the mount to the sub frame? Any ideas or tips on how to chnage it woul be much appreciated was going to get a bugpack one but don't want any increase in vibrations, is the mk2 golf diesel one a direct fit and any more stiffer? Thanks Bobby :D
  17. if you wanna come a bit down the road smashing vw in leeds are good also there is a good vw specialist i've used in sheffield can't remember the name right now but i'll get the details for you.
  18. the cream leather looks mint, bodywork looks tidy too looks like a good buy there mate
  19. just under a £1 down in leeds 99.6 or something around there
  20. well done, you may find that the engine may have been rebuilt in the past which would make it even more a bargain.
  21. is the original wired up to come on with ignition? There should be a switched live (ignition) and perm live, try bridge the red and orange together from the new cd player wiring to the perm live on the iso block coming from the car and that should get it going. The blue is the remote power lead or for the arial signal boost
  22. so a golf 16v flywheel is a straight bolt on job to the 16v corrado engine, was going to get my flywheel lightened as i'm building a spare engine but if the golf one goes straight on i'll do that instead.
  23. check the vacuum hose on the back of the clocks is plugged in and follow it into the engine bay to make sure it isn't damaged, does your spoiler raise of the dash switch?
