Bora Bora 0 Posted November 19, 2004 Got in the car this morning and a creaking noise was driving me crazy! Turns out to be the sunroof! Once opened or tilted the noise would stop. Henny 0 Posted November 19, 2004 coolrado, Vaseline rots the rubber... you need to use a non-petrol/oil based lubricant on rubber... ;) (didn't they teach you that in sex-ed?) My son's Lupo GTI is having a new spoiler fitted under warranty :roll: to eliminate about the 3rd or 4th squeak from the car. A neighbour with a new Polo has also, without having hearing about my son's troublesome car, been back to her (different)VW garage with complaints. Mostly, I believe, the noises are due to plastic/rubber/metal materials rubbing together as the cars bounce along the road.
