Opinions on new-style badges ?

Recommended Posts

Well apart from the Kompressor badge being a Mercedes one, they're quite good. I'd still rather have the originals tho...

I did sumat similar to mine, and then when I came on here I found a pic of it in what not to do to a corrado, it does look a bit much!

Well Kompressor is german for supercharger so.. technically its correct.

Nice and modern though..

Well yeah, if you're speaking Mercedes, then "Kompressor" is a supercharger, so that's ok, but the font is still Mercedes ;)

not keen on the Kompressor badge, but the others look good... 8)

I've seen the Kompressor badge on a MK2 Golf G60 (white) and it looked daft to be honest.

I dunno, maybe it's just me but that kind of thing is just gonna get chavs trying to race you all the time.....

Can I ask you where you got the New style G60 from thoBigEastsideTartanTimmeh?

I could do with one of them when I drop my G60 in my mk4 cabrio

G from GTI, 6 from 1.6, 0 from 2.0

That's my bet anyway... ;)

Much prefer the originals. Don't really see the point of badging a car with stuff from other marques/models :? Looks a bit naff when a C is kitted out in Wolfsburg, Porsche and Audi badges etc IMHO.

Yeah cheers guys for the comments. I bought the G60 made up badge by indeed buying Mk4 Golf, 1.6 and 2.0 badges. The Corrado one was made from two Seat Cordoba badges and the Kompressor one, as we all know, comes from Merc C / E-class models. Not sure whether to put them on or not. I might be persuaded to sell the G60 one tho' for a good price, as it would save you from buying three sets of badges gibber ? (think it cost me £18ish for the three ),

Cheers,

Think the 'A' in Corrado looks to much like the 'R' so at a glance it looks like it says CORRRDO or COAAADO... shame though as an updated badge would look nice on the back of a C but these look worse than the orriginals IMO

Not keen on 3 different fonts together, looks clumsy IMO.

Saw a Rallye last year with Kompressor badge changed to Impressor - made me smile, but i'm sure it's not original!

Indeed, bring out the GiT badges again :)

Like the G60 badge but it is a VW descendant wearing it, not keen on the kompressor badge though.
