chrishill 0 Posted May 16, 2005 they're not seized bally they just dont go any lower than they already are! you're cars got to be 100mm down at least!! sound-deaded my doors, changed sidelights (wow) and gave it its weekly bath. also found plenty of other places on the bodywork it'd benefit from some extra deadening...anyone tapped the rear wing under the window recently? sounds like a biscuit tin! chrishill 0 Posted May 16, 2005 something called 'ivanhoe', got a big roll of the stuff from a local car audio place for £15, enough to do my doors and chris vr6nos's too. I would have got more but they only had one tube! its alot like the dynamat stuff i've used in the past but slightly thinner, still makes a noticeable difference. I was (and I say was) really pleased with the finish but it's not even taken a week for them to start getting rust spots again!!! I guess the only way to sort this out will be to find a heat resistent laquer... I think I'm going to paint them red though as I already have the paint!!! as for what I have done to the C today... opened drivers door to find rizla and opened boot to take some rubbish out - don't want to over do it! billinjah 0 Posted May 19, 2005 i replaced seat bolster mine had a hole right through the foam luckily not through the leather!! what a difference that has made! cheers kev for the how to, if you havent done it do it now before there all sold out! i also put a few more screws in my audioscape door pods and played with my new ipod itrip how cool are those!! also tried to fix the bleedin horn pnarrr pnarrr! oh and made a list of things to do, its long very long!! (the bits of foam falling out ) it was £23 inc the vat iirc and yes it stops the seat dandruff! just driven to work and its made such a difference to the enjoyment of the car didnt realise how uncomfortable sitting on the metal rail was till now!! its jobs like that that spur you onto keep going with a car. oil cooler tonight!! Graham_E 0 Posted May 20, 2005 did my short shift this afternoon, alot easier than i thought it would be, apart from dremel-ing the bit of metal out, must buy that right angle adaptor would have made things so much easier! :lol: also went to do the headlight mod..but most of the screw are rusted and its gonna take alot of persuasion to remove them, so thats on hold for the moment. billinjah 0 Posted May 21, 2005 started fitting the oil cooler so far is going too well! the old oil water cooler came off with no struggle at all. had a burst water pipe this morning which was good as it was a hose that i needed to replace to put the oil cooler on! im just being a bit too lucky with the rado at the minute! i have a long and thin cooler so its going behind the lower bumper spoiler as its colder air down there going to protect it with some mesh though pics to follow! randal 0 Posted May 21, 2005 Today I fitted new wheel bearings all round, new pads discs all round, new ball joints, drop links, wishbone bushes, and swore because we didn't have a spring compressor. Tomorrow, I will be sourcing a spring compressor and fitting my susp! I will also continue cursing the fool in Oxford who promised me a door and wing, and then sold the door today! LIVID!
