GlosterOx 0 Posted January 23, 2011 Replaced Earth Lead from bonnet > bulkhead plus new expansion tank - Flushed rad and topped up with G12++ Ian. Is that strap actually needed? Mine fell apart! Not sure, I guess VW fitted it for a reason? The original had nearly broken at the bonnet hinge end, hence the reason I replaced it. Ian.

VR6Pete 0 Posted January 24, 2011 Thanks Ian. I will get one ordered tomorrow. I have managed to save my self some money by spending some time on my current bonnet latch, after reading the horror story on here, I've manipulated it and given it plenty of lube over the last couple of days and its now good as new! will continue to manipulate and lube over the next few days!
