The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...

Recommended Posts

Painted the headlight reflectors black (obviously only the not needed reflective parts) :D

Big improvement don't you think? Gives the front end that little bit more attitude :D

Yeah, its really easy to do as well which is a bonus, gave me a change to give the lens' a good clean too!

I've wanted to do it since I saw Kev's avatar but hadn't gotten around to doing it, now i've got to find something to do with a practically full tin of hammerite

 same here mate, small tin of black hammerite barely used. If i'd have know i'd have posted you mine. Though you could paint some chassis parts if you ever take them off the car i suppose - wishbones or whatever.

Tried to locate the gasket for the TB, gave up and have to order a new one from VW...:)

Also noticed I'v ripped up the cable from the ABS contact so guess I will have to get a new one of hose as well.....:)....

The positive thing I guess is that if VW see parts being bought they will keep on producing em....lol....;)

Had that happen to me. Let me guess, you went over a large bump or pot hole and the spring plate disintegrated?

Yep. I knew it was bad when the speaker cover pinged off.

After fitting new crack pipe, thermo housing & oil cooler seals amongst other bits and pieces on the cooling system, I filled it up and hey no leaks!

Also changed the oil and filter.

A good evening I'd say!

Dropped the front tyre pressures slightly and drove to sunny Ilkestone and back with the sunroof open and windows down and marvelled at just how bloody together and sorted it felt and how gorgeous the exhaust sounds bouncing back at you from Peak District dry stone walls. And to cap it all I got a chufftie from a delivery driver and a spot on the way home. Ace day all round and all the messing about getting things like wheels bearings changed and new top mounts fitted felt worth the hassle and expense. Just need to get the 288mm brakes refurbed and on now :)
