daves16v 1 Posted April 10, 2005 Accurate measurements, a lot of careful crafting and here's the result. The surround is polished stainless bolted to the plastic surround from underneath. The gaitor is actually the wifes old leather boots stitched by my mum and is sandwiched between the stainless surround and another steel surround hidden underneath. Just need to get hold of a good leather knob and maybe a Momo Millenium wheel to finish it off. The photo does NOT do it justice, it looks really nice in the flesh. fla 9 Posted April 26, 2005 Did you stamp it out daves16v, or do it by hand? I guess the latter would be almost impossible to make absolutely straight and smooth, especially on the corners.

daves16v 1 Posted April 27, 2005 If I were to supply them which I'm not, you'd use your existing gaitor. I replaced mine as it was imitation leather and worn out.
