Jim Bowen 1 Posted May 16, 2005 Hello people this has all happened a bit quick, but wanted a Corrado VR6, found a 50,000mile one for sale locally, and its a Storm version too. just need to know what to look out for when viewing it (might be going today), is there any questions i should ask, heard something about a "lube service" around that mileage??? do they use a cam belt or chain? when should that get changed? just any advice really ta
chrishill 0 Posted May 16, 2005 there used to be a sort of 'buyers guide' thread stickied in one of the forums but i cant find it... anyway, in answer to one of your questions they use chains, and the general opinion is that at around 100k you'll need to be checking and probably replacing the guides and tensioners which is a fairly major job. if the cars been looked after they can last longer though. at 50k you shouldnt really have any worries. make sure its a genuine storm too, theres some posts about how to identify a genuine one around somewhere...best be is to use the search! good luck! Kevin Bacon 5 Posted May 16, 2005 And what about the rest of the list?
dinkus 10 Posted May 16, 2005 Sounds like Mystic Blue. Worth checking the paint code in the front of the service book, sticker on the boot floor and inner front wing to be sure though. Lists of the codes are in the buying guide.
Jim Bowen 1 Posted May 16, 2005 haven't been to see car yet, am going by photo, Corrado Vr6 Storm 1 owner since new 50,000miles 6 disc cd changer e/s/r FSH Deep Met purple throughly looked after £5.5k
dinkus 10 Posted May 16, 2005 This looks suspiciously like the Storm that HE-MAN bagged and then tried to sell on at £8,500 the other week. There can't be that many 50k mile blue Storms advertised for £5.5k - are you sure it's still for sale?
