Getting car on ramps

Recommended Posts

I've just bought some ramps to get under the car instead of using the jack and axle stands. Its a standard VR,not lowered but the front lip hits the ramps before the wheels even get close. I thought of just removing it but i need to lift the car up first. See the problem? Surely there is another way of getting the car on the ramps without having to remove the spoiler each time?

When I had mine on the ramps they had to have a bloke on each arch to lift it as it was driven on - thats was on standard suspension too

i just used a couple of 2ft long scaffold planks to reduce the incline :D

It seems that it's not even the stupidly low cars that have problems such as this.

Even the standard 'tractor height' seems to bring problems with it!

even when i took mine to kwik fit for a free check the car had to be lifted as the front splitter wouldn't allow the car to even be reversed onto the ramps - it was at that point where i decided action needs to be taken!

standard ride height couldnt get onto an ats ramp!

would think garages would use those ramps that slide arms under the 4 jacking points so it doesnt matter how low it is!
