bcstudent 0 Posted August 24, 2005 Wasn't that for sale not long ago? I seem to remember it being all stickered up as a rally car.
Scruffythefirst 0 Posted August 24, 2005 I seem to remember it being all stickered up as a rally car. Sounds familliar.
veeDuB_Rado 0 Posted August 24, 2005 hmm..i thought rally cars were only allowed if they had the original engines ???
dazzyvr6 0 Posted August 24, 2005 i like that a lot...in clubman rallying you can pretty much put any engines in

dinkus 10 Posted August 24, 2005 Of course it is, it's got a Ford engine innit  ;)
RACK 0 Posted August 24, 2005 It was on the cover of revs a few years ago. It's an awesome piece of kit. The bloke who built it sold it and then put a cossie engine into an E36 BMW, which got on the cover of revs too. I used to buy revs and max power alot. Until they went away from engine modding and started to only put cars in that had silly body kits and 1.1L engines!!
A20 LEE 0 Posted August 24, 2005 there was a Mk1 cab with cossie power and 4x4 too. Metallic brown IIRC
Majik 0 Posted August 24, 2005 I think this car was featured in golf extreme magazine quite a few years ago IIRC there was also a MK1 with a rover V8 engine in it.
BigTartanJudge 0 Posted August 25, 2005 This one at the top wasn't the one featured in Golf Xtreme magazine as I have that particular issue, however, it is the one that was for sale on ebay a few months back. That MK1 Golf from that issue had twin-turbo's on that Rover 3.5V8, something like 450-500BHP, totally mental !
gradeAfailure 0 Posted August 25, 2005 That MK1 Golf from that issue had twin-turbo's on that Rover 3.5V8, something like 450-500BHP, totally mental ! I remember that - metallic blue, with a BMW 3-series dash? I think it was actually a 4.2 iirc - the guy started out with a 3.5 but then someone offered him a 4.2 lump for about £100 so he thought "why not?!", and then decided to strap a pair of huge turbos on as well... You just know that somewhere on the M1 there was a lorry driver wondering why his artic wasn't going up hills anymore!
