dghodges 0 Posted January 22, 2006 Hi folks, I'm pretty sure my '91 16V has had its windscreen replaced with an upside one out of another car. I'm thinking this because most of the shading that is normally at the top is at the bottom and there is a mark at the bottom where the rear view mirror was attached. Has anyone else seen this done or even had it done? I'm curious as to what make and model of car the windscreen was taken out of. Cheers, Dave
Phil K 0 Posted January 22, 2006 sounds dodgy... the C screen does have black dots fading to clear at the bottom of it if thats what you mean - I think this is done to hide the gap where the bonnet meets the wipers
dghodges 0 Posted January 22, 2006 I'll have to have a look at someone elses C to compare. There are a lot more of the dots at the bottom (100-150mm) than at the top (maybe 30mm)... I'll update you when I have a look another C. Cheers

chubbybrown 0 Posted February 22, 2006 Rac windscreen computer lists two types of windscreen with a corrado. One has a green tint on the top of it described as rare to find. The 2nd is the one most cars have, even though I need one, the closest is sitting 200 miles away in Glasgow So not that easy to come by :| so if you wanna be a pain in the ring ask for a green tint one :-D
Banana Man 0 Posted February 22, 2006 When I was phoning around for windscreens it was actually cheaper to get a green top tinted screen from the dealers ( £179) than a pattern part from a known fitter (£200+ ), the only problem is either fitting it yourself or finding someone to fit it for you as they only want to fit their own brand!!!
