Scratched Glass

Recommended Posts

Ive got some sh*tty horrible scratches down my drivers side front window, probably due to grit in the seal

Anyway, can I get rid of them? Or is it a case of "some kids hit a cricket ball through it" and get a new one for £60? ;)

AFAIK the scratches on the windows are caused by the metal clips that hold the window rubbers to the door... so if you do polish the glass or replace it then it's going to be worth replacing the rubber/clips and making sure they sit 'right'against the glass... I've got a spare window in the garage which will be used to sort mine out eventually so if anyone wants to practice on my scratched glass for me they're more than welcome ;)

Its my windscreen thats scratched and the scratches run top to bottom and not in a wiper arch so F$#K knows how they got there... angry cats??

one of my mates who tints windows was telling me the other day that they put some felt over the runners to help it not scractching but it always starts acratching again after 6 months - a year... and they hate doing rados due to this

Do you use an ice scraper? I've managed to scratch my windscreen with that. I also had a stone under my drivers side wiper which scratched a lovely arc into the screen.
