As usual I have been abusing 2 members of this forums good will this weekend and the result is a slightly lower car on lowered spring caps.

(along with new engine mounts and my exhaust fixed - again, cheers guys!) Ride is still great, which is important as i'm still doing 60 miles a day 6 days a week for now.

Spring caps only lower the front though right? I was thinking about getting some, like you I wont be buying coilovers in the near future but I could do with being that little bit lower. How hard are they to fit..?

As one of the forum members subject to Nick's abuse it was all good clean fun :? :wink:

 

We had most of it done in a less than a day just struggled getting a top nut undone from the suspension that had been air gunned on too tight.

 

Nick, you forgot to mention the 40 minutes arsing around with the CV joint circlip and the technical adjustment on your BNC Carbon can as well.

 

I have driven Nick's car after the work he has done to it - it really is a superb example of some fairly discreet mods that make the car a lot better.

I did get a ping pong ball stuck in my mouth as a kid, so i guess thats where it all started :oops: . Its a chopper baby.

 

Seriously though, there is no way my car would be running on my budget (ruled by the CSA!) if it was'nt for Chris & Yans help. I never thought i'd have one at all let alone have one I love stairing at and just cant stop driving!

 

Dont know about perfection, i just copied VR6 anyway!! Just that rather expensive G-force inducer missing now and will be for a couple of years!

 

Trigger, if your on TA's they have rear height adjustment, just dont put it down on the bottom rung like i did or your car will do a "dog with an ichy arse impression" :lol: Spring caps are less than £20 and drop it 10-15mm but retain the ride. Easy to fit when you know how but i do still need a pucker camber set up now before i lunch my new tyres :?

Thanks mate, how many rungs are there on the rear damper do you know? I'll be on whatever Vince set it to when he fit them. I'll have to get someone who knows how to help me with the spring caps then... :)
