Well for reliability it has to be the Corrado! But for all round nastiest car (and bear in mind I have only ever owned 3 cars) was my Peugeot 205 Trio. It was superbly reliable, but it was horrible. Loud 1 Litre engine, the softest suspension (body roll to the extreme) known to man, little to no cornering ability even at sensible speeds.. horrible.

Ok the worst car I have ever owned was a Triumph acclaim which was my first car ( by the way this wasn't out of choice :D ) About the only good thing about it was that it only had 19,000m on the clock when it was given to me. I kept it for a year before I got into the VW scene and bought myself a Golf GTI. I kept trying to make the blo*dy thing go bang so I could have an excuse to buy a new car but the flipping thing would just not die, I remember knocking it from 5th to 2nd at 80mph hoping that would do the trick but it didn't do the job unfortunately. Two months after I eventually sold it the person who bought it had the cambelt snap on him causing the engine to blow LOL nice to see my hard work payed off in the end

I've been lucky in that all my cars have had some merit in them and been fun to drive from a 1000cc 1972 mini (first car) through mk1 GTI, Citroen AX GT, Nissan Sylvia 1.8T, Corrado VR6 and a few others so I'm going to base this on reliability. In which case the Nissan Sylvia was the worst car I've owned. So many problems........I can't even write them down without getting angy .

Mini city complete with holes in the floors, gearbox's that would'nt change down into 3rd, and when it used to be icy ice used to form on the inside of the windscreen! and with a heater that did'nt work it was dam cold!

Apart from that it was quite a good little first car :D

Both my Escort RS Turbo's, were off the road more than they were on it, but when they were working were great cars!! Money pits though!

Ive only had Vw's so i cant complain! - 1 Polo, Mk2 Golf Driver,Mk2 Golf GTI 16V, Mk3 VR6, Jetta GTI 8V, And Now my Corrado G60- Not bad considering im only 22!- But probably the worst was the VR6 as it had a serious drink problem and Having cost £7k at the time blew the head gasket after just a week! - went like Sh*t off a shiny shovel though- it's still in the family- costing my Step dad a small fortune :) + the Corrado is quicker!

My worst car for reliability was a golf clipper cabriolet, when the car packed up it gave me headaches.

Generally i had a citroen zx 1.4 bought to build up my no claims, and it was crap knocks, and no power. but never let me down.

every car I have owned I have had to get heads re built even of friends cars that I boroughed for a couple of days!

I learned to drive in my parents Jetta 1.8 H plate with power steering and elec windows, it was the big bumper model and I though it was great. They gave me the car when I passed my test and I slammed the car but the rear was much lower than the front and went through 4 sets of drive shafts, 2 gearboxes and endless amounts of tyres.

After the first few months of owning it, I had a defect form as 4 tyres were bold and my dad took the car down to pay for the tyres and the mechanic said this car seems like its being driven really hard, my dad came home with the car and said , ' son, have you been ragging this car? I said, ' me... no''!

The worst car had to have been a ford orion that I bought for 1 week, blew that up, I shot the piston through the oil sump if you can believe that!! Then I had teh C G60 K plate to which I didnt blow that one up, its being driven around the corfe mullen area / Wimborne if any of you know that area. The plate is K52 VNH or something. Nice car.

Fiat 127, tuck my girl friends dad to look it over, he said great car.

Later shut the door and half of it dropped out, full of filler, to cap it all sold it for spares and the loom set fire when the bloke drove it away. Soon ditched the girl friend

Wife has a punto now which is a great little car.

"X" reg Vauxhall Astra 1.6SR was my most unfortunate car.

Three days after buying it, I blew the engine (2 con-rods through the crankcase!! ). Bought & fitted another engine - £500. Around 6 weeks later, I fell asleep while driving to work and completely smashed it up - ending up in a farmer's field.

Nice, full Recaro, interior though !!

mmmm Talbot!

I had a Tolbat Horizon :bonk:

Apparently, they were very high-up the technology tree, the factory cost loads to re-tool ahead of production and they had non straight cut gears in reverse too... Still a pile of poop though!

My number plate was A95 ROT... might have been sign... lots of ROT in mine!

Audi A3 1.8 20V on an 'R' has to be mine. No torque at low rpm so I had to keep the revs high in order to make progress but then it drank fuel - 25mpg ish! It didn't handle very well, the door mechanisms had worn to the point of the passenger door flying open when I was going round a right hand bend (scary!) and in the 2 months I owned it I replaced the thermostat, temperature sender and both wishbones. It still drove rubbish and it had a leather interior with next to no bolster support whatsoever so on every corner I pretty much ended up sat in the passenger seat! Oh, and it was white and the paintwork was rubbish!!

Luckily I swapped it for my Corrado and I haven't looked back since :)

My 2007 punto grande! Load of crap, 56k on the clock I've had to rebuild gearbox, replace clutch, failed 2 MOT's, 4 sets of pads. Burnt out heater motor loom, list goes on :)

Oh dear... I had an A3 1.8T sport from new on an R, it was too early for leather (became and option on the very end of R cars if recall) but it went round corners and has sports seats that held me...

I was disappointed byt he torque, it felt like there wasn't any as there was no rush as the turbo picked up. I had mine chipped too and that didn't make the torque *feel* any different (but it was certainly quicker after the chip)

I'm surprised the 20vT is such a common conversion to be honest... I guess they fit different turbos?
