if Corrado's didn't exist?

Recommended Posts

here's one for you all.........if Corrado's didn't exist, what car would you want to buy and own............i'll start off here, especially as when i was at my local filling station tonight i bumped into a guy i know and his "new" Karmann built car that i've always lusted after........the Escort Cosworth

though they are still a bit pricey compared to a Corrado Vr6.......afterall this guy i know has just paid £13k for a 28k mile FSH black L-reg Cossie

I've always quite liked the Alfa Romeo GTV 3.0 Lusso - a very nice looking car, and very quick too. I've heard the Italian build quality is a bit iffy though

1982 MKI Golf GTI in black. preferably Standard. But brake and suspension mods acceptable  I just missed out on getting one before i bought mr Rado and i really regret not acting quicker...

Tho The Rado was only meant to be a comfortable daily driver and all my money was meant to go to my current '82 MKI Golf.....

Well, You cant win em all!

Good choice m8 - I'd have one of those too.

Integrale is a fun car to drive but I don't like left hookers for daily use.

Depends on budget!

If money was no object then it would have to be a Porsche 911 GT2.

If money was more a deciding factor then I'd go for a Mitsubishi Evo 6 or 7.

When I was looking at vr6's I also considered the BMW e36 328i as it can be had for not much more than a C vr6, is similar in pace and I fancied a rwd, decided against it as I preffered the C in every way.

Also considered an Integra Type R, still wouldnt mind one but it was a bit out of the price range. :(

Impreza P1 in a few years maybe. :p

GOLF RALLYE DEFINATELY! G60 4 Wheel Drive (golf on steroids)

generally the rover coupe turbo would be my second choice against the corrado but i've already had one of these, and its funny because the rover boys sort out the handling of the car and the corrado (g60) are sorting out performance form their cars, so its kinda the same predicament!

I was just about to say Golf Rallye as I have been there done that with the MK1 Golf. The Rallye like the Corrado has that rarity which I like and are pretty good value now.

The new style Integra Type R (in black  ) would be a good replacement. Still have an ambition to own an Evo someday, I love the newer ones (VII and VIII), the V and VI are maybe a bit "in your face".

Golf R32 would be a good bet too - one in AutoTrader this week for £17k
