Kick Up The Rs 0 Posted June 30, 2006 Spent most of the week trawling thru the forums and asking questions in an attempt to find out what was causing a burning smell on my G60. Missed the footy tonight as i decided to change my valve cover gasket as I thought it was weeping. Smell still there though. Then I remember.........I had wedged a brillo pad 'temporarily' between the cat and the heat shield to stop it resonating. I heated the pad up on the cooker to check it was the culprit and yes it was - but I managed to burn my nose in the process. Can anyone beat this or am I totally unique???
