Ronan 0 Posted August 13, 2006 My mate has been working on a demo car for his bodyshop, and this is where I will be taking my car when it's ready to be done. I know it's not really the VW style, but what do you guys think of it? The workmanship is spot on, even if you don't like it cause it's not subtle enough or something! Bear in mind most of the work done on this is COMPLETELY custom, the front bumper is totally hand made, same for the bootlid. Oh, and does anyone know what it is, and what marque the colour came from?
Jim 2 Posted August 13, 2006 Its 4 stud, so i'm going to guess a Honda of some sort... and I think its Alfa Romeo paint? Just a guess!
ZippyVR6 0 Posted August 13, 2006 Did that used to be a Pug 407 or a Renault Laguna??? Im liking the spoiler in the boot but the front bumper looks a bit thick. Cool work though.
Ronan 0 Posted August 13, 2006 Its 4 stud, so i'm going to guess a Honda of some sort... and I think its Alfa Romeo paint? Just a guess! Hahaha, love the way you checked the stud pattern first! I shouldn't have had that pic up there. But no it's not a Honda, or Alfa paint? What do you think of the car, I know you're quite VW-orientated... Jim 2 Posted August 13, 2006 But no it's not a Honda, or Alfa paint? What do you think of the car, I know you're quite VW-orientated... Not my bag i'm afraid. Not knocking the work at all - your mate looks to be very talented at what he does, but just not into the styling or the colour! Good transformation from a 406 tho! :)
Ronan 0 Posted August 13, 2006 Thought the general reaction would be that Jim, he didn't want to do anything OTT and wanted to be original, and was aiming for a Euro-ish look, which is kind of along the OEM+ lines. He wanted to gauge a reaction from people who are in that kind of scene. I hope the work on my car will be that good...

vdubCorrado 0 Posted August 13, 2006 the body work is very clean... but man for some reason i hate when people put tail lights on cars that don't belong on those cars... i guess cause i see it here in the states so often and it's always such a bad bad job that i've come to dislike it so much... but i was honestly guessing honda accord uhh 94 to 96 i think style i was off... but similar body lines i think...
