nah, i tried it years before i had even heard of the bunch of bodge artists on chimp my ride, the problem i had was the camera i used was crap and didnt work at night, but you can get cameras dirt cheap now with auto iris and infra red illumination which are great as a reversing camera at night.

C'mon!! how can you compare it to a micra!!

Awsome work! I can only imagine the hours of work that must have gone into that!

I'm sorry but I can see the resemblance to a micra aswell. Workmanship as always looks fantastic, but I'm not sure if I like it. Will have to see in the flesh to decide!

Turns out I wasnt all that wrong!! :D

The quality of work looks superb Jay. Good luck with the rest. Looking forward to seeing what wheels you go with on this one, after the corvettes last time round. 8)

Well done Jay... Unlike the Rado, it's hard to do something original when you have a Golf, coz there's so many of them around, and chances are it's been done already... Think you've pulled this one off, but i'd have kept it under wraps till the first show....

I actually quite like it BTW. Not really a fan of the flush bootlid look either..

Looks great Jay. Can see what folks mean with the Micra comments but.. I think just seeing the back of the car and not getting to see it in its entireity means you can't get a full picture of how it will look.

Looking forward to more progress on this car! :)

Glad you like it Steve. It tooks us 4 days solid to do it. Had to take 2 days off work so I could get it done. (only have one car)

Bit of an update. Spent this evening putting my wheels back together after splitting them to replace the outer rims with stainless so they will last as daily.

Started with a load of bits....

Then a couple of hours later....

9.5x18" on the rear 8.5x18" on the front.

Cargraphic? class rims. would have preferred to see them on the car.....(then again, I already knew you were fitting those)

did you find the stainless rims weighed a ton?

Patience Paul, you will see them on the car eventually :)

Stainless rims being heavy is a load of balls. These exact wheels are used on the Nuremburg ring lap record Porsches....so if they are good enough for them :)
