FMIC is always teh best mod! You'll find that G60's with a decent FMIC and not much else often give better performance than ones with lots of mods and a standard intercooler

Jim's old G60 was testiment to that!!!

what happened with jims joe? do you know where he got it fitted? is it jim the moderator?

Thanks Andy

Don't know where he had it fitted but it was a Golf G60 Intercooler setup that you can get from Darren!!!

It was Jim the Mod's but he was hitting 200bhp with IIRC no other mods bar a mildly ported charger and good torque!

I've heard of toothed pulleys eating belts (think olly done two on a trip to the ring!)

fmic.. but my dilemma is fmic or big brakes first!?

I'd go for the fmic, you can get good results from fettled g60 brakes.

fettled how? my brakes seem pretty poor at the moment, running standard disks and green stuff pads..

my thoughts were its prob better to sort that first before getting more power!

sorry for threadjacking andy!

Continuing the temporary thread hijacking...

I put pagid fast road pads, zimmerman discs and dot 5.1 fluid, that made a HUGE difference to my breaking. I also put on goodridge braidid hoses, but i don't think that made much difference. I can jump on the brakes and get my chin spoiler to hit the ground!

(hence the wanted ad)

yup fmic are cool - you can only see your engine when you not driving it and an fmic will be better for when you are!
