corrados / last of the few

The Corrado Club of uk said on the back of thire club mag {the sprinter} that there were only ever 9000 corrados imported into the uk over the seven year life of the car . so i was wondering if anyone had any idear/ complex mathamatical equasion that could work out how many are left opperational.

call the dvla and ask how many are still registered?

 

they know this statistic, as its used to work out insurance risk, but im not sure whether or not they would tell you....

It's been asked on here quite a few times before and the suggestion of calling the DVLA always comes up.

 

I think someone tried it once and they said they weren't allowed to release that kind of information, but god knows why.

 

It might just have been that the person on the phone couldn't be naffed, so probably worth trying again.

There's a member of this forum who works for an automotive research company, I believe he's calling himself 'Numpty Dumpty' these days. Surely a company like that could extract that information from somewhere. No?

i'd like to know aswell,well how many g60's are about anyway

 

think i remember reading only 1200 or so g60's were imported in

 

doubt if theres more than two-thirds left now, maybe only half

And probably half of those left have been turned into 1.8Ts ;)

I would've thought a Freedom of Information Act request would release the information:

 

There's no way they could claim DPA, you're not asking for the owners' details.

And there's no case for protecting a competitive advantage

 

I reckon they'd tell you no worries, if you made them aware it was an official FOI request.

I'm slowly working away to removing as many Corrado's from UK roads as I can whilst increasing the number on Irish roads :lol:
