Out of interest if anyone knows....how much would my Corrado have cost when new? Its a 1990 1.8 16v.

main options at the time were met paint,Recaro seats,E/W(tho possibly std fit by 1990) same with the E/S/R,leather interior

when you chose leather you got the heated seats as part of the deal,so any UK-spec C with leather seats and no switches is normally a sign of them being retro-fitted

and from memory Diavia wanted between £1k-£1.5k for A/C,I remember going in to the local VW dealer and they were having an A/C sale on retro-fitted systems..............reduced from £1.5k to the bargain £1k :roll: ,this was circa 1995 too

whats this registration fee btw????...............if its the new car registration fee you are on about............thats has only been around the past 6years or so...........and it was only £25 when it was introduced,its now £38 tho funnily enough :roll:

Eh? + £495 extra for a manual gearbox? That can't be right. + £495 for an auto maybe, otherwise they'd have to charge normal VR6 owners another £495 for their manual gearboxes aswell.

 

£23K..... just think what you could get for that now.

 

Brand new MK5 GTI and change for a Corrado VR6 :-)

I reckon prices being as they are (inflation and all that), that if a similar car was released today it'd cost between 25,000 -> 30,000 from VW.. I mean look at their flagship Golf R32's etc for price comparison...
