Bet all the people round your block think you're nuts!

Not being picky, but it's an awesome car but I've always thought the bottom 2 grilles on the reiger grille should be black, as in to break it up a little :)

How about making them like beemer 1's where when you pull the visor down the light comes on, or do they come on when you slide open the cover?

Either way a little touch more

They do anyway on the rado when you tip it down the light comes on.

Do you accept odd change, pocket fluff and shirt buttons...? Could paypal if you wanted...? :D

The illuminated mirror is a nice little touch. In an almost obsessive compulsive way, i appreciate things that are symetrical. :?

I saw this car for the first time yesterday and it is even better in the flesh. I am now completely sold on those wheels, they looked so much better than I thought they would. Paint looked awesome, interior is lovely and enginebay very tidy.

It was so quiet idling I didn't even think it was running at all. Lovely lovely job and if you lived closer to me i'd have you round to work on my car Jay! :thumbleft:

Cheers mate. Glad you liked it. The wheels are going to get a refurb before the summer as they look a little tired after a winters worth of abuse.

I sometimes think its stalled when I am sat in traffic and have to check the rev counter to make sure its still running as I can't hear it :)

Had a good productive easter weekend on the car.

Now the car is all tight and solid and I have fitted sound proofing everywhere. I have started improving the anti rattle/squeek properties of the car. I bought (well got a free roll) of some automotive anti squeek tape from a specialist company and am working my way through the car to eliminate any noises. Starting at the back and working forward.

Also replacing any tired clips and straps while I am at it. Difference is amazing and I still have a lot to do. The pic shows how I have taped all over the mounting surface of the parcel shelf support. Did one side and press on it, no squeeks. Anal I know, but its worth it in my obsessive opinion ;)

Just thought it might be of interest that my insurance is due, which means its been exactly a year since I did the 24v conversion and got it on the road.

It was only in shake down mode then, but it was mobile and after sorting the inital teething problems, over the last year I have done 19,000 trouble free miles :) Chuffed is not the word.
