Wompa 0 Posted October 23, 2008 Hi. I have searched like a freak, and now im asking you all. Does anyone have some picture of the Corradon when it was in production. Im thinking about factory picture, assembly, testing etc in the Karmann factory? Everything that has to do with the Corrado, engine, chassi are of value  It would be great to have and look at when the mustasch germans made our favorite cars :) If this topic is in the wrong place, please move it :)

joebloggsVR69 0 Posted October 28, 2008 I remember when I was at Uni, I used to spend ages in the library looking through something called "Car Styling" magazine. They had loads of pics of the Corrado's development in one of the issues: http://www.carstylingmag.com/default.tp ... rq=0671188

yeti 0 Posted October 29, 2008 woah thats a hell of a development program!... i'm glad we have 3D cad to conceptualise those sort of ideas now... cant believe they built rolling shells of the above! :pukeright: i suppose its proof that if you keep trying you'll get there in the end but it gives you a pretty strong idea as to why the car ended up so expensive if thats how it was developed! Some great pics in this thread though! :)

emirc 0 Posted October 29, 2008 I read somewhere that Corrado budget was three times sent to management board for rebalancing at a time, that's how expensive was developing it... Third time, heads at VW agreed there will be no more adding funds for Corrado project. :cuckoo: Now i know Corrado was really - a bargain!
