As promised in the discussion thread I am going to be running a league for a maximum of 7 other CF FM3 players out there, the rules are as follows:

 

1. Race night is Sunday evening at 20:10(Top Gear is 21:00), if you can't always be available to race then don't put your name forward.

2. You have to race in a VW Corrado (obviously) and the maximum PI is capped at 400.

3. Points will be awarded for race results in an F1 style allocation, 10 for 1st, 8 for 2nd, 6 for 3rd down to 1 for 8th.

4. Driving aids, all will be forced off except for braking line and ABS, you can opt for any type of gearbox shift selection.

5. The simulation option will be full, this includes tyre wear and fuel consumption along with full collision and crash damage.

6. Grid order will be random, I would like to do it based on reversed race results (ie you won the last race, 8th on grid this time) will have to see if we can work it that way)

7. Races should be around 30 minutes long but allow an hour.

8. Races will start at exactly 20:10 on the xbox dashboard, you really need to be in the lobby/party by 20:05 and ready to go.

9. Headsets/voice is optional but will make it a little more fun :camp:

10. Race results, best lap times and current league will be posted in this thread in this post.

11. The race series will be over 10 tracks.

12. There will be a 2 week break over the Christmas period, no race on Christmas day (obviously) or New years day, racing resumes on the January the 8th 2010.

Yan, just a thought but why dont you do it like a team effort. Im sure there will be more then 7 people wanting to do this. So, why dont you make it 14 players, being 2 players per team - the 2 player team can alternate races. This way more people (assuming more then 7 are up for it) will be able to play AND one player can cover when the other cannot play and vice versa.

 

Like i say, just a thought.

something else i'd like to point out... could we stick to classes rather than PI?...

 

I'm thinking we tune our rados up to D class... which is capped at 350 PI...

Yans idea of a cap at 400PI isnt much diff to limiting the class to D... so either way im fine. Perhaps some one should make a link with all the rules as agreed written out, to save confusion. :shrug:

after thought i vote 400pi, reasons being:

1/ I doubt anyone will race a rado that isnt approaching the max pi, if you did, you wouldn't be competitive. I think you could also limit the class to C to make it easier to enforce.

2/ If you want to keep your Rado as a D then you could always get another one, its not very expensive. I personal have 3...

3/ D class might be a little slow... especial if we are relay thinking of doing 4 laps of the Nürburgring, and 3-4 laps of that Japanese hill one. Would take ages! :lol:
