that s.cks big time. i must admit i nearly allways trust people who are in the vw scene as even the guys that make a living selling bits tend to be enthusiasts, which is how it should be.

it hurst financially, but it also just really disapointing that someone would do that who likes dubs surposedly!

my car wouldnt have half the stuff its got done to it if it wasnt for people on here giving up there time and money sometimes to help me out. and if im ever in the position to do the same i will. (which is why ive taken a sat job at a vw sepcialists to learn lol)

ok didnt want to do this but i feel its a start to getting my parts that i bought, anyway G60DUB was selling some smooth mirrors on a part exchange basis, so as my ar has no mirrors went out and bought some off another member. G60DUB said he could send them out after i had paid him £70 and then once i returned my old mirrors he would send me £20 back. as i said before i have no mirrors on my car so i offered to just send the mirrors i bought + a cheque for £50. so boxed them all ip and sent them off that way as thought it would be easier for both parties and a bit quicker!! so sent them off special delivery, took him a week to get them from the post office  pm'd him a few times seeing what was going on with my "new" smooth mirrors and got the usual "ive been busy ra ra ra" ill get them out to you asap when i have time, im sorry if it wouldnt be to much trouble please send me my mirrors. pm'd him loads of time and he's now not even bothering to get back to me.so if i was you i would stay well clear. would like my mirrors tho mate so if you read this then please feel free to inform me why i havent had my mirrors off you and its been 2 months!!!! at the end of the day its £50 but im not made of money, i have a corrado for fook sake!!

funny that cause I bought passat handles off G60DUB cause I had to climb through my boot. Sent a drivers handle and both latches but no passenger as he suddenly only had two drivers handles.

He said he would send one on straight away but it never turned up. After a while I got a bit annoyed and asked where it was. Offered a small refund and then a week later said it was sent and told me to check with the post office. Would not provide a tracking number or offer any more help.

2 months is way too long, especially with PM reminders.

Yeah tell me about it, all he had to do was pop the mirrors back in the box and send off when the cheque had cleared, not exactly hard is it!!!! Unless there never was any mirrors  :censored:

Well I feel its time to say that the user going by the name of PEANUT on this forum agreed to swap me 2 vr6 plug lead tools (value of 30 pounds ) for a vr6 corrado air filter housing.this started just before gti international

I sent the 2 tools to him which he recieved within 2 days,I then waited 2 weeks and recieved nothing,I contacted him about it,and he claimed it was posted but the post office had no whereabouts of it,he said he would send another out to me,which never arrived after another 3 weeks of waiting, again claiming it had been lost in the post.he then agreed to send one of the tools back which was posted out last thursday, and paypal me the value of the other tool.the tool has never arrived and I spoke to him online at the beginning of the week when he said he would paypal the money there and then, this never happened, the next day he said the same thing, and 2 minutes after went offline,I have texted him since and had no reply.

I find this kind of behaviour unacceptable especially over 30 quid, but its the priciple and I am fed up of being messed around,so I thought I would warn you guys about this user PEANUT,THIS HAS NOW BEEN GOING ON FOR 7 WEEKS !!

I sell a lot of vw parts on here and other forums and pride myself on keeping to my word !!!!

Oh dear :-(

Doesn't really help the situation, but it's worth noting if you get really stuck finding a box, you can get brand ones from GPC for £45.

Now there's a coincidence....I've just sold an inlet pipe to a guy in the Chanel Islands who alleges that he was ripped off by PEANUT on the purchase of an air-box....small world isn't it ?

Maybe we should have a feed-back system in place like E-Bay ?

YEP THIS IS COMPLETELY MY BAD AND ACCEPT FULL RESPONSIBILITY-

the air boxes were sent out which im still waiting for post offcie to sort out (have proof of postage) the tool was meant to be posted back ages ago but wasnt due to me being an absent minded arse. Did try paypalling you but it didnt work, tried catching you online this week but got no reply. Didnt get your txt however this week. THIS WILL BE SORTED TODAY. No excuses just had a whole world of shit to sort out lately, not your problem i know. Apologies, but this will be concluded today

Hoefully some of the other people we've dealt with and sent parts too will vouch on my behalf. Just like to point out this had nothing to do do with Nikki and soley my fault

..Which is why we should really only speak of personal experiences in this thread.

This is as much of a feedback system as we can put in place really

yep thats right,I am the same person, who is just trying to get a car ready for edition 38 show, and am running out of time quickly.

I have now been refunded by PEANUT approx 1 hour ago, which I thank you for,I am sorry for making the post, but I was at the end of my patience.

I do however accept your apoligies, and am glad the situation is now resolved.

I am also happy to have any moderator retract the above post made by myself.

A feed-back system like E Bay does enable people to reply to adverse comments, as Peanut has done.....quite often lack of communication is the problem.

Hope this aint too much of a whinge, just I found five mins too write this so here it is.

Bought a subframe from 'Khurrado', some time ago.

Asked to collect, he said he'd be much happier to send and take bank transfer once he'd given a parcel no. Which he did.

However I never checked it was the right one, later finding out when speaking to him again that he'd sent it to a Manchester address.

He said he had 2 and would send the other straight away, and not having time to worry I said fine and waited. And waited.....

It never arrived, he disappeared from this forum, phone calls weren't answered etc etc.

I hope that he did send it and royal mail messed it up, as he was very helpful on specifying the correct subframe for me in the first place, but on the other hand why no contact if so? I'm not entirely bothered, it was a mere £30.00, which is barely worth this rant but I thought maybe this would help others, and maybe even conjure up a subframe for me!

Please accept that I mean no offence to anyone, and of course I give 'Khurrado' the benefit of the doubt, but, it's just not Khricket!

Hi mate, sorry i haven't been on the forum, my car's still off road(sub frame!!) and as a result, haven't had the need to log onto the forum.

Also please note, that i gave you my number, but received no calls, if you had called i would have immediately post you another subframe mate, not in any way to say it's your fault, which it clearly is not.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused, this just completley slipped my mind. I never heard anything of the lost subframe, it was sent through the post office, not parcelforce, £12.46 jobby with no insurance, i've still got the other frame in the garage, somewhere, ill PM you my mobile number.

Sure enough all appears to be sorted, subframe in transit, no beef with anyone, - just 2 C owners with a subframe popping into their nightmares every now and then. Happy days, cheers K.

Don't like doing this, but...

'Sold' my 17's a few weeks ago to Matty16v. He paid me a £40 Paypal deposit and said he would come and get them within a 7-10 days. Fine by me. A couple of weeks later he told me he was buying a car down south and would pick the wheels up on the way back. This fell through.

He kindly offered to send the balance of the money by recorded delivery as he definately wanted the wheels but was unsure when he would be able to get them. I agreed to keep them in my garage until he was able to collect (I have also suggested he organise a courier for less hassle, but he still wanted to collect).

Two weeks later, no money and no contact. I have texted, emailed and PM'd, but have got no response. He has received my PM's as they have left my outbox.

I had budgeted for that money by the end of September (went and bought some tyres etc) and am now very short and overdrawn. I thought he was a serious buyer, as he'd given me a deposit and promised to send the money- I was wrong. Least someone can do is reply to PM's, texts etc! Seems that everyone is messing me around at the mo- not happy!

Sorry to hear about it - If I was in your position I would readvertise them and get them sold. You've been more than patient. If this had happened in a shop or anywhere else they would only be kept for a short time then sold and deposit would be lost as non-refundable.

So I would do exactly that!!!!
