coullstar 0 Posted April 28, 2013 That looks ace, reminds of my first GTi as it was basically the same but in Diamond silver. Cheap as hell to run and fix which is a bonus.

Being a small bumper and non power steering feels more like the mk1,this one really is very clean and a good base for me to get my cleaning fetish going.....lol Recaros back this week from the trimmers which will push it over the edge, can`t wait
robrado974 1 Posted April 28, 2013 Lovely looking car , I remember my friends dad having their golf delivered to them , it was silver . We had to stand at the end of the drive and shout for them to come out and play , we were forbidden to enter the drive or go go anywhere near his brand new car ! Billzeebub 1 Posted May 11, 2013 (edited) That interior looks sensational, top work. I love Mk2 GTIs almost as much as Raddos. I had 2x Mk2 Drivers (34k and 41k miles respectively) both in Alpine White from VAG dealers back in the day. The second to replace the first after some muppet drove up the back of it! Even 90bhp felt lovely with the Mk2 chassis. I look forward to seeing your work and experiences with the car on this thread Edited May 11, 2013 by Billzeebub
MarkFoster 0 Posted May 11, 2013 Wow, does look cracking. I really hope you spent ages resetting the window winder so that it sits absolutely parallel to the door handle when in the closed position - please tell us you did! Lol
