kvwloon 0 Posted April 3, 2004 I'm a Technical Services Engineer with KLM subsidiary. Tied to a desk, but still got toolbox and tools, just in case! :D Lot of technical people on here....so....., does that mean our technical training means we can appreciate the design of the C, or that we need to be technical to keep it going?! Geo 0 Posted April 3, 2004 I'm a mechanic and panel beater/spray painter but I packed it in and went back to college. Qualified as a mechanical engineer last year but now have a job doing mainly programming work....(don't ask, I don't know how it happened either) Still work some weekends in my dad's garage though...helps fund my VW obsession, and it's practice for when my golf needs some work! So if anyone knows of a G60 C for sale that needs some attention, let me know 8)

Ka` 0 Posted April 12, 2004 Hiya, Another techie. I do everything from planning, designing and implementing the designed networks. That means physically installing the network cables and touching power tools. I also recommend and install clients and servers, maintaining them according to contract :) Passed my first MCP (XP) in February, thinking about doing the rest for 2003 Server MCSE. Really a Master of Management Science with Computer Science, never had a job in management :) BTW, AndyVR6, how's Canterbury, still standing then? When I last visited, they were excavating the Whitefriars end of the High Street, did they find anything? Cheers, Rica

Phil Diment 0 Posted April 12, 2004 :) No other Social Workers then? I work with people with disabilities, head injuries, and/or mental health needs (including the rest of the Social Work team in that). If the stereotype is correct I should be a pipe smoking; duffle coat wearing 2CV driving person...... The usual comment is: They obviously pay you too much if you can drive something like that (the Corrado) but it's a good talking point especially with the ex racers amongst my clients. Cheers, Phil
andihaz 0 Posted April 13, 2004 Graduate automotive engineer, but trying to find a job in this with no experience is far from easy, so going to move away and head in to the CAD design area of this as it seems its becoming a part of all engineering design compamies now! Earn a few pennies here and there fixing cars, and painting houses and things.
RACK 0 Posted April 13, 2004 I'm a fracture and fatigue technician for Corus (formally British Steel) Or to put it another way. I break, crush and smash things in various way, and tell people how good, or how bad their material is.

dinkus 10 Posted May 7, 2004 I'm a bit of a techie jack of all trades. I've been working for a tiny production company that make 'internal communications' videos for lots of big companies over the last few years. I look after the computers and network and do generally techie stuff. My only formal technical certificate is a BEng in Broadcast Engineering that I graduated with last year. To make things confusing I then ran away to Canada for a few months, sat on my arse mostly doing nothing with the odd bit of web work here and there. Luckily I'm travelling round pretty much all of Canada this month and then coming back to England at the end of the month to buy a VR6 C. Oh and to help set up a set of DVD magazines for car/bike/train and plane enthusiats. So look out there will be a feature on the Corrado ;)

Dilated 0 Posted May 7, 2004 I'm a web/multimedia/graphic designer. Work for a creative design agency in Leeds. Just finished some dvd work for adidas. Tend to work on all kinds of projects, mostly web at the moment but trying to get more into video/after effects work. Been doing it for 5-6 years now (since I left college) Didn't bother with a degree - glad now too, with looking at most of the graduates CV's/portfolios who apply here I think i'd walk a degree now! Leavon 0 Posted May 7, 2004 I'm a 3D character artist working for a computer games company in Derby (no I can't get any free games). Been in the games industry for about 10 years, the money's good and I still really enjoy it. However I'm also a songwriter/musician and I've just completed work on my first professional film project and it's really tempted me into pursuing it as a full time career. TBH Could do with the extra cash, the C's in the garage at the mo and the bill is totting up
