Do u reckon you'd be able to come up with a 70mm front splitter in some sort of plastic that doesn't cost the earth (for a splitter anyway).

if its gonna be around the £70 mark then i would be defo interested. i got myelf a spear spoiler that i was gonna get carbon wrapped but thats gonna be around £40 and look a bit poo underneath so would pay the extra for a proper spoiler.

 

i would prefer an oem style one myself though

 

wings would be great and dont sound dear but if you get them put them on great. months down the line someone bangs it and its blitzed then what back to the metal one. if its a small prang then yeah it could prob be filled and sprayed.

The thread has spiraled into something entirely unexpected so it will take a bit of research and planning but I am keen to try some variations.

 

I reckon the way forward is for me to get a mould made of this spoiler. Then I can create GRP parts to cut and tweek.

 

If I get some time next week I will 3d scan the spoiler on the back of my car. Then I can do all this stuff in CAD and do some renderings for 'appraisal' from you guys. That will definitely yeild results faster than cutting up and fillering GRP. I wanted to incorporate some 3d scanning into my portfolio so this will be a nice little project. Thread to come!!

front spoiler is more of a problem I reckon, as it needs to be capable of being scraped on speed humps and driven into kerbs without shattering, the original material is pretty tough in this respect.

I'd quite like a 120mm front chin spoiler :)

I'd be interested if the rear spoiler could have an integrated hi-vis rear brake light. Other than that can't see the need to change. Sorry!

That sounds like a good idea. Would getting a power cable down inside one of legs be possible? I don't know if its hollow or not. Might be starting to increase the cost though but sounds like something worth looking into.

I am fairly sure a wire could be run down one of the supports. I will look into it.
