Mawrick 0 Posted June 24, 2011 Just lowered the C a bit - unscrewed the z-screw and then just turned on the purple ring, making it lower. Can anyone confirm that's the correct way - to mee it felt I was rotating stuff at top as well - should I hold back anything when doing this or ??? cheers! Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 27, 2011 And clockwise raises the car, counter-clockwise lowers it. Yes, I've been asked that several times :D
hawwy 10 Posted June 27, 2011 is it possible to twist the purple thing by hand?
Alex_G60_Fanatic 0 Posted June 27, 2011 is it possible to twist the purple thing by hand? did you not get a C spanner in the kit? You can do it by hand when the car is up in the air (off the suspension) but if you got a new kit you should have been given a C spanner.
swiftkid 1 Posted June 27, 2011 If its free enough yes, but it depends on the condition.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 27, 2011 My fronts (V3s) are still turnable by hand after 4 years, but the rears certainly aren't!! I've had to replace the perches on the back twice from siezing up. But the difference with Inox compared to lesser dampers is they seize because grit gets trapped between the perch and damper, not because they're corroded to buggery!! Grit seizing a perch is the bain of *ALL* coilovers, but with the Inox you simply cut the perch off, clean up the threads, fit a new perch (£15 each) and off you go again. hawwy 10 Posted July 25, 2011 i know its an old thread but i got kw v2, and ive been told i can adjust the dampening from top mounts? if true, hows it done , and what tools needed
Critical_Mass 10 Posted July 26, 2011 I think there's a tap like knob that can be adjusted, But not had them so not sure. DOnt think you'll need a tool can be done by hand i guess
MarkFoster 0 Posted July 26, 2011 On my V3s rebound is adjusted at the top using a 2pm allen key - the fronts are a cinch to do, but the rears are much more troublesome to get to due to the parcel shelf supports.... I would assume V2s are the same but might be wrong... Mark
