dragon green 5 Posted June 17, 2013 Hectic weekend, loads of miles ! Odometer said 515, just filled it up,done the maths, and it works out at 39.97 ! Not bad,was four up for nearly half the distance, and I had to put a golf in its place at the traffic lights Grand Prix
destructiv dave 0 Posted June 17, 2013 Looking good Bryan. Good to see a well used daily in such tidy condition. Dave
dragon green 5 Posted July 18, 2013 Thank you Dave, Fitted a drinks holder to the front trim tonight, without drilling any holes ! Pinched the idea from a Vortex thread Pic fitted Made a small bracket, screwed to the holder(from the rear The bracket pokes up between the gearbox trim, and bolts to the original bolt Everything can be put back to original, leaving no holes, No more rolling bottle for me on a long journey ! Note, couldn't find a suitable bottle for the last pic,so my stainless cleaner volunteered
dragon green 5 Posted August 2, 2013 Had a road trip to TSR for a light tune (lol) round trip of 405 miles, and still got half a tank of gas ! I did leave at 4:30 am
dragon green 5 Posted November 30, 2013 Bought these a while ago of the forum Blasted, powder coated and R32 bushed, After nearly 3 years my top mounts are shot ! So I got my mechanic mate to replace top mounts,my wishbones, new ball joints, and while he was at it,he found the drop links were fubared ! (Genuine parts I put on 3 1/2 years ago) Car feels really tight again, can't push it too much,I put the snow tyres on ! lol
dragon green 5 Posted December 3, 2013 My updates are like buses, wait for ages, then two come together ! Noticed the number plate light wasn't working Monday morning, this is what I found Dodgy soldering,I did this fix about 8 years ago on the original light, replaced light with a new one when I had it resprayed. Quick solder, and back working
dragon green 5 Posted December 1, 2014 A bit of an update,it's took me about 13 years and 158k,but I've finally got in the 200k club The odometer reading is what I've done on a fuel tank ! Over 1/2 a tank left, read it and weep Vr owners lol

fla 9 Posted December 1, 2014 A bit of an update,it's took me about 13 years and 158k,but I've finally got in the 200k club The odometer reading is what I've done on a fuel tank ! Over 1/2 a tank left, read it and weep Vr owners lol the display bezel works nicely with the dial rings. Where did you get the dial faces - i much prefer those to the VR font
dragon green 5 Posted December 1, 2014 The dial faces are the original 16v ones

dragon green 5 Posted February 22, 2015 Had some spare time, so I got the scales out ! Surprisingly its lighter then it left the factory. Not bad considering all the leather, sound deadening, new engine etc, mine you,the alloy brakes make a big difference. Apologies for the diagram A 63-47% split, I don't know if that's good or not ! Lol The last rolling road gave me 262bjp,So that works out at 230 bhp per tonne, or lots of smiles per miles Weighed with 3/4 of tank of petrol
seanl82 23 Posted February 22, 2015 Ummm, is that not meant to be 63:37, or 53:47 split?
dragon green 5 Posted February 22, 2015 Doh ! 63-
dragon green 5 Posted January 10, 2016 I haven't updated for a while, just the normal Corrado maintenance ! Had a slight leak on the sunroof,I've got a long cable I use for this,I rodded the front sunroof drains from the sunroof to the front wings, these are easy to see and do.The rear ones,I find it easier to drop the bumper off, four 17mm bolts and the bumper just pulls off ! The drains are to the side near the wheel arch(sorry no pics,it was drizzling with rain) then it's just a matter of "rodding" the drains to the sunroof opening.Checked all drains were working ok with a large syringe I use, just squirt water in all four corners, and water can be seen running out. Forecast for the week is getting colder,so greased all locks, and treated all the aperture rubbers to this I've used this for years,it stops the doors/boot from freezing shut. Jacked the rear up,and took a slight bit of slack out of the rear wheel bearings. They were new about 3months ago,so just settling in ! Basically a typical weekend maintenance for a daily run Corrado, lol Sorry for lack of pics, but trying to get done between showers ! Milage just over 216k
dragon green 5 Posted April 23, 2016 To celebrate clicking over 220k I thought I'd sort out this, Taking out the bolt you can see the smaller head on it [ You can't machine the outer head,it doesn't leave enough socket,so I machined the "shaft" side, The finished item,(I will polish out the bolt writing, but as you can see,it started raining) Make sure you use Loctite on these bolts
