kirade 0 Posted July 27, 2012 (edited) Wanted another so the hunt began. Had to be red, and with these cars buy on condition not miles, found this example down in Manchester, drove it home, 400 odd mile journey, no problems whatsoever, except the crap wipers, which are being replaced, average of 35mpg the whole way, so that's quite good for a VR, actually getter than the G60 did. I few jobs needing done, and suspension and wheels to be fitted. Edited July 27, 2012 by kirade

jamiehamy 0 Posted July 28, 2012 Got to love them in red :) Well said that man! This looks great, I wish my paint looked like that. i've have lovely shony wings, but the rest is fading with peeling lacquer. No rust so don't mind that as a compromise. :)

kirade 0 Posted July 28, 2012 Started cleaning the arches etc, made a huge difference... clear side markers TT pedals Lupo wipers ---------- Post added at 10:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:56 AM ---------- fitted a BMC filter, for improved VR6 note ---------- Post added at 11:52 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:59 AM ---------- Took some time off work so got stuck into the Raddo AP coil-overs arrived, along with new top mounts front & rear Fitted a Momo steering wheel, makes a big difference from the standard set up Fitted the new rims... ---------- Post added at 11:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:52 AM ---------- I always disliked the bonnet soundproofing, its made of foam which just crumbles and makes a mess, so it was all removed, took an age, but much happier with the end result. I then changed all the standard screw/nut fittings for the headlights lights, radiator, bonnet catch etc for stainless, was lucky as they all came off no problem, it helps buying a southern car Rear end number plate plinth was changed for a SpoonFed Tuning rear carbon fibre plinth, I will be changing a lot more parts with carbon fibre Interior gauges were updated to DDI back lit dials, and I changed the LCD to red, all switches will be changed to red illumination, once I get all the parts together, another work in progress. Half leather Recaros from a Canadian spec Raddo set about giving them a good clean, re-dyed the leather, and then a leather feed, job done that's everything so far, a years work, and still lots to do, plans for the future...
