Hofmiester 10 Posted September 20, 2013 Yeah, some pretty heavy corrosion there. Have you tried POR-15 before? might be worth using that on this one.

willmason1975 10 Posted November 11, 2013 Engine is back in now just need to sort out the wiring side of it. The fusebox was in a carrier bag when I got it!
seanl82 23 Posted November 11, 2013 Wow, you got skillz! Thats a fantastic turnaround well done! Unsure on side repeater position though......
Sean_Jaymo 0 Posted November 11, 2013 Like this! I'm also not sold on the side repeater position!
willmason1975 10 Posted November 12, 2013 Yeah I'm not too sure myself to be honest, just wanted to try something different!
Craig 0 Posted November 12, 2013 Fair play mate. Top turn around. Nice to see the effort being put in rather than taking it to the scrappy :)
willmason1975 10 Posted November 17, 2013 Well the project has come to a grinding halt! Ive tried to plug the fuse box back in and it will turn over but wont start. I dont know enough about wiring to go any further. Theres no fuel pump kicking in. I cant even tell if the immobiliser is working VAG-COM isnt connecting to anything so I will have to get an auto spark to have a look.
st4stokie 10 Posted November 17, 2013 Got to take my hat off to you mate that is an amazing transformation from what it looked like at the start. Have you checked all the relays on the fuse box? Could be fuel pump relay not working
willmason1975 10 Posted November 17, 2013 Yeah I'm not too sure on wiring at all I may have even damaged something putting it all back. I've checked fuses but don't know how to check relays I've swapped fuel pump relay with a known working one but the more I do the less things work so gonna leave this one to the pros I think! I've done a 1z conversion into a t4 and that was simple because everything was already connected and running in donor so only had to transfer things over. I don't even know if there's anything missing or if the ecu works on this because it was a non runner when I got it
willmason1975 10 Posted November 17, 2013 Those pictures of it being painted were in an old WW2 ammunition bunker. My son thinks it's funny how I resurrected a German car in a British war bunker made to destroy germany!
